  1. Hi, was there ever a Class 31 in railfreight red stripe, with a nameplate? I know a couple of coal and petroleum sector ones did.
  2. Hi, looking for multiple Hornby R2753 Construction Sector locos. Thanks.
  3. Does anyone have a spare Hornby 56 new design "inner box" (the bit which is covered by the sleeve in the below photo). It would have the product sticker on the end:
  4. I am after Bachmann 38-159 (Railfreight BDA bolster wagon with load) and to a slightly lesser extent 38-151 (Railfreight BDA bolster wagon without load)
  5. I am after a Bachmann Class 37 in metals sector livery, unused condition.
  6. Weathered finishes force everyone to pay for mediocre weathering and force those interested to pay a second time to have it done properly.
  7. Is there anywhere which "consolidates" all the various limited editions being offered, including magazines etc?
  8. I'll stop, because I have no qualms with Kernow themselves (rather Bachmann).
  9. Nobody is forcing you to read these posts either. I'm not referring to a tiny 3% annual increase. In the last 12 years some railway modelling prices have increased by 300-400%. Name me another product which has increased in price 300-400% since 2005?
  10. I wasn't referring to a "box shifter" when I said I can find the metals 47 for £115. I also wasn't referring to one shop.
  11. I bought several of the Pectinidae for £83. This was definitely not a reduction price. The £65 arguably was. £83 to £140 in 18 months is still insane.
  12. Using Bachmann's website to quote prices is a bit silly. For example, they list the Railfreight Metals Class 47 as £140 and yet I can buy it for £115 on many websites.
  13. How can a class 47 (Diamond Jubilee) sell for £65 18 months ago and now a Class 47 (granted its limited edition) cost £160? Either the model was too cheap 18 months ago (unlikely), or people are ramping up the prices now and blaming it on "China". Put it this way, I doubt the wages of Chinese workers have doubled in the last 18 months!
  14. Had a quick look at that thread, but fear you may have misinterpreted my question. I don't mean which has the correct number of bolts. I just mean given both models, which looks like it has better detail, which looks poorer quality etc.
  15. How does the Cambrian SPA wagon kit compare against the Kernow/FTG SPA model in terms of level of detail/tooling? Which is the better model?
  16. There's a rather larger number of various green/blue SSA scrap metal wagons: 33-430, 33-431, 33-431A, 33-434, 33-435, 33-436 to name a few. Besides 435 being weathered and 431A a slightly different design what is the difference? What I'm really asking is: are they all of the same tooling quality? Or, like the Class 37 loco, is there an earlier tooling which is inferior to a later release?
  17. Is that different to this one? I don't see the Cardiff Rod Mill logo on the Kernow wagons: Realised the one below isn't produced by the same manufacturer!
  18. It's a shame the recently-released Bachmann Metals 47 doesn't have the depot logo. However, its good to see the photo you linked shows a Metals 47 having it.
  19. £33 quite expensive for a "small" (i.e. not exactly a TEA wagon) wagon. It is nice and colourful though.
