Okay, but would it really be difficult for Bachmann to weather only half the batch and make everyone happy?

I really wish Bachmann would stop adding factory weathering to wagons. Most of the time it's of poor quality and it ruins the model, whilst presumably making it slightly more expensive. Those who want weathering will do it themselves or pay someone. The oil stains on the TEA just look pants:

There are two different Bachmann models with yellow ends. The one with metals sector decal (900205) was unique. However, the second model (38-151a) has a design multiple wagons seem to have had.

Should I infer from this there were at least 10 with yellow ends, without the metals sector logo?

So one with metals sector logo? What about the second model without the metals sector logo?

Bachmann produced two BAA models with yellow ends (see images below). Of the 305 BAA wagons built, how many were painted in these liveries? UPDATE the metal sector one is unique, but here is a list of yellow-ended BAAs without sector decals: 900020 900073 900074 900108 900120 900142 900162 900177 900202 900258 900265 900282

Bachmann MFA too short, or FTG SPA too long?

I would guess I have the MFA correct but probably have the SPA misidentified for a shorter wagon? -
I sometimes pass a goods yard which has an MFA and SPA wagon next to each other. From the train they don't look too different in length. However, the FTG Models SPA wagon seems much longer than Bachmann's MFA wagon. Is Bachmann's MFA too short, or FTG Model's SPA too long? (Or, do i need my eyesight tested?)

There seems to be several 4 unit OO gauge Eurostar 373 packs: R1013 R1071 R3293 and a six-unit pack R2379 What is the difference in model quality? Does the fact R3293 has a "larger" model number imply it's newer and possibly better?

Sorry! Do you know if all the Hornby Eurostar 373 00 products have the same tooling? Or was there a re-tooling?

My mistake. Just did some Google-imaging and it seems I actually had the R647, HO gauge one! Problem solved! Do R1071 (4 unit) and E2379 (6 unit) packs use the same tooling/have any difference besides the number of units?
