  1. Hello all, Following on from the corrections and great feedback we've received previously, we now have a new version for the nose end of the A4. We're happy with the look and feel of the streamlined casing and we're incredibly glad we've taken the time to get this right. Thank you to everyone who has been involved so far. Anyway, take a look at the images below and let us know what you think. Cheers, Dave
  2. Hi all, Here's the video showing a couple of the samples running on our test track. Cheers, Dave
  3. Hi John, we’re 99.9% back to normal now with items regularly arriving back from the other warehouse. If you can email info@hattons.co.uk with the item you have ordered or your order details and I’ll have a look at this for you. Cheers, Dave
  4. Hi all, The first colour samples for the Beilhacks have arrived and are shown below. There are a few changes that have been noted, including the logos printed on the roof being slightly squashed and the running numbers on BH-011 and BH012 being incorrect on these samples. On the whole we're very impressed, especially with the detail shown in the data panels. As always feedback, comments and general questions are welcomed. All 12 are still available to pre-order for £43 each on THIS page. Cheers, Dave
  5. Unfortunately it wouldn't be viable to modify our current tooling to be able to represent a crane tank. The chassis shape inside the body is made to fit the current tank configuration and would require significant modification to create the crane tank version. Having versions with and without holes for the vac pipes would mean another chassis tooling including running boards as this is all one piece. We've stayed as true to each prototype as possible whilst trying to keep the price reasonable. We've described the colour in the same way that the owner has. We do agree that it is more red than maroon. The middle wheels have been noted and will be painted on the production models, this also applies to the P Class as well. As has been mentioned, following the change of NCB No.23 to No. 6, there's not currently a model featuring the square front windows. If you know of any suitable prototypes then you're more than welcome to send them over to us via email using ideas@hattons.co.uk Thanks to everyone for all the thoughts and feedback so far, already looking forward to sharing more progress once we receive more samples. Cheers, Dave
  6. Hi all, Another milestone has been reached for all of our Andrew Barclay locomotives as we have received all 12 painted samples. We're happy with how things are progressing and we're glad to report that we've not had to note many corrections. AB14-002 is sporting a shade of green that is a little too light and a revised shade has already been specified. AB16-002 and AB16-004 have been incorrectly fitted with high tanks on these samples. Low tanks will be used for the production models. There are also some minor blemishes in some of the lining and we will be ensuring that this is resolved for the final models. Enough of me though, here's some photos for you to enjoy. 7. Hi Steve, Sorry this has taken longer to process than normal. I believe this has now been processed. Feel free to get back in touch with our Helpdesk team should you have any more questions or issues and I’m sure they’ll be able to help. In regards to operations in general, we’re near enough back to normal on the despatch side of things with over 850 orders despatched at the half-way point of today. Deliveries are being booked on and received as normal. There are still some returns that are currently being worked through but great headway has been made into clearing this and we’ll continue to work on them. Apologies for not providing updates regularly, I’ll certainly be working on that myself. I do appreciate the interest that our customers show in us and we will communicate better going forward. Cheers, Dave
  8. You’re absolutely right Rick. Lot’s goes on under the roof of the Hatton’s Hub and we need to take the time to make sure we get them all right. Hi Steve, sorry that we couldn’t offer you a Next Day service on this recent order. I’ve spoken to Richard and he says that if you order when we start listing Pre-Owned items again, he can drop it in with you on his way home. If interested, just place the order as “Click and collect” and arrange via info@hattons.co.uk so Richard knows when to bring. Cheers, Dave
  9. Morning all, Apologies for not having updated you all sooner. Thank you for bearing with us, we are still working on getting back to normal over here. Deliveries of new stock are nearly up to date and will be sorted by the end of this week. We’ve also restored the pre-owned items that were “hidden” during the stock take and will be starting to list more pre-owned in the near future. Despatch emails with tracking information are not being sent, this is also related to orders staying as "Open" in your accounts. We are working to resolve these matters. Any despatch delays now are due to requiring stock from our secondary warehouse. Due to the amount of stock we provide, we simply cannot keep it all in one location but try to keep enough to satisfy our expected level of orders. We perform regular movements from the second warehouse which means that under normal circumstances you will not be able to notice if an item has come from off-site. During, and following on from, the stock take we have not been able to perform these as normal which has created these delays. A large amount of items arrived back with us yesterday and we will be getting even more back today. We understand some people have been into our store and asked for items that were available online but not available in the shop due to them being on pallets. This is a similar situation to above and with the sheer amount of stock around the warehouse, accessing some pallets to replenish shelves has not been possible. There were one or two items that appeared erroneously on the website and were available to order. We have resolved this problem and have taken steps to make sure it does not happen again. At the moment we're not able to offer guaranteed Next Day delivery services simply down to this not being fair to people with outstanding orders. Once the orders have been cleared through we will certainly be offering this service again. Once again, I'm really sorry for the delays and issues you have experienced with us lately. We’ll be back to our usual high standards as soon as possible. Cheers, Dave
  10. The smokeboxes between 178 and 753 have been transposed on these samples. We've noted it with the factory and the final models will be correct as per the detail matrix in the first post. Cheers, Dave
  11. It should be relatively easy to remove things such as the lining/name/number etc as they're applied using tampo printing. Here's a photo showing the body and cab removed from the running board which would allow you to install crew if required. There's 4 screws to remove the body from the chassis. then 4 more to separate the running plate from the main body. 1. This is currently under review. For reference, this is the front of the colour layout for 178. 2. The coal load is glued in to two locating lugs in the bottom of the coal bunker. Following the above steps to remove the body/cab from the running board will allow you to approach it from underneath and allow you to remove it without risking damage to visible parts of the loco. I hope this helps. Cheers, Dave
  12. Hi all, As promised, here are images of all 12 painted samples. As has been noted, these are initial samples. 13. Hi all, Right on time, here are some of the painted samples for the P Class. We're currently reviewing them and will be posting more images next week. Hopefully this will tide you over until then. Cheers, Dave
  14. Hi all, Following on from previous amendments noted (including some from this thread) we've now received the latest revised CAD files for the A4 body shell. As always, we'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Cheers, Dave
  15. Hi all, Thanks for bearing with us recently, I know we’re not currently performing at the levels you have come to expect from us. We’re currently working hard to get orders despatched as quickly as possible and we’ve made good headway in achieving this - on track for 1000+ orders despatched today so we are definitely getting there! In regards to our new stock, we’ve not booked on our deliveries recently so we can focus on getting regular orders out to our customers. When deliveries are booked in, by their nature, they are much quicker to pick and despatch and we’ll be getting back on top of these as soon as possible. Cheers, Dave
  16. Hi all, I’d like to apologise for the delays and issues that have come up over the past week. The stocktake involved us counting over 500,000 individual items between last weekend and Tuesday this week. Although we had intended everything to be up and running by the time the stocktake was over, there were some technical issues that arose which have meant our despatch operation has not got back up to speed as quickly as we would have liked. Rest assured, we are working as quickly as we are able to get all parcels out as soon as possible and will be contacting any customers, where necessary, to resolve any issues with orders. I know this is not up to our usual levels of service and speed of despatch but we will continue to work to meet and exceed these standards going forward. Cheers, Dave
  17. We've temporarily hidden most of the pre-owned stock from the website as we're currently in preparations for a full stock take. Everything will be back in it's normal place on Tuesday. It's a huge job but it's actually quite fun. Cheers, Dave

  22. Hi all, As requested, here's the dimensions of the chassis frames for the 16" Andrew Barclay. Cheers, Dave
  23. Hi all, As promised, here's some images showing the weathering masters for our ICI wagons. As you can see, we have tried a few different styles of weathering on these particular models. We'd be keen to hear your thoughts on the various styles and, as ever, welcome feedback. Style 1: Style 2: Style 3: Cheers, Dave
  24. Hi all, As requested, here's some photos of the P Class chassis. As ever, bear in mind this is a first EP. In regards to provision to DCC Sound, one tank will house a 6-pin socket as shown on the images above. The other side will have a removable weight which, when removed, will allow a sugarcube speaker to be located there. This will be visible on the next sample we receive. Hope this helps. Cheers, Dave
  25. Hi all, Here's a view from the front of the 3D printed A4. As ever, we're keen to hear feedback to make sure that we get this right. Cheers, Dave
