  1. Hi all, thanks for the feedback so far. Some minor corrections will be made to a number of the models including the resizing of the Chiltern logo. I can also confirm that the roof on the GWR example will be the silver grey as per the original artwork too. As soon as these amendments have taken place we'll show further examples here. Cheers, Dave
  2. Hi all, As some of you have spotted, we included a few of the Class 121 colour samples in today's newsletter. Here's the rest . We've identified a small number of amendments needed to a number of the vehicles however overall we're very happy with the quality of printing and detail on what is a highly detailed model. As ever, click the images for larger versions. Full details and ordering options are available at https://www.hattons.co.uk/hattonsbubble Cheers, Dave 4D-009-HAT01 - Class 121 single car DMU 'Bubblecar' 120 in 'GWR 150' Chocolate & Cream livery 4D-009-HAT02 - Class 121 single car DMU 'Bubblecar' 121032 in Arriva Trains Wales livery 4D-009-HAT03 - Class 121 single car DMU 'Bubblecar' 960011 in Railtrack blue & green livery 4D-009-HAT04 - Class 121 single car DMU 'Bubblecar' 121020 in Chiltern Railways blue livery 4D-009-HAT05 - Class 121 single car DMU 'Bubblecar' 55033 in Revised Network South East livery 4D-009-HAT06 - Class 121 single car DMU 'Bubblecar' 960010 in Railtrack "coaching stock" maroon 4D-009-HAT07 - Class 121 single car DMU 'Bubblecar' 55022 in Original Network South East livery
  3. Hi all, With the CADs now complete for the A3, work on the colour layouts has progressed and is available for inspection below. A lot of time has gone in to researching each locomotive to ensure that they will be as accurate as possible but, as always, we welcome any feedback you may have. As ever, click the thumbnails for FULL SIZE images (but be aware that the file sizes are quite big!). Further details can be viewed on the main website Here. 4. Hi, The CAD is under development for these currently and as soon as there is something physical to show it'll be uploaded here. Cheers, Dave
  5. Hi all, Thanks for the comments so far! We've taken note of the discussion on the shape so far and will be passing all comments on to the CAD development team. Hi Ryan, to clarify, the A4 body is sitting on top of the A3 chassis for now and these will amended when the A4 chassis modifications are designed. Cheers, Dave
  6. Hi all, To complete the set, here are the A4 CADs as they stand so far. We wouldn't usually show them off at this early a stage however these are primarily used to ensure the distinctive streamlining is proportionally correct. We've compared it to our own research and drawings archives however as always we're keen to invite comment before we move on to adding the finer details. BIG versions are available, click the thumbnails below to get full size images. Further details on development of the A3s, A4s and teaks are available above and on the main website Here. Cheers, Dave
  7. Hi Baz, We aren't currently publicising a release date as we'd prefer this to be more confirmed before we do so, however as with the EPs we'll make this info available as soon as possible. Cheers, Dave
  8. Hi all, Thanks for the interest. We've been told to expect second EPs very soon and as soon as these are available we'll show them here. Cheers, Dave
  9. Hi all, Hot on the heels of the final A3 CADs are the final CADs for all three diagrams of Gresley Teak coach that we are producing. These have been checked over to ensure details are correct however, as always, they're also now up here for you to view. As per the A3 we've left these at FULL size and clicking the images will show larger versions. Full details of the vehicles including running number and livery variations are available on the main website Here. Cheers, Dave Diagram 115 - corridor third. 10. Hi Mike, Well spotted! We have currently logged four different types of these and 4472 has had further examples fitted in preservation. Unfortunately we have to stick with one type of these on the model, and as the type currently carried by 4472 is similar to the more-common LNER type, we chose to recreate this. For those who wish to modify them, it is easier to reduce the length of the pipes than add to them hence our choice of the longer samples. Cheers, Dave
  11. Hi Dave, The sound project we fit is a bespoke project created for the loco by Olivia's Trains. We supplied them with a running pre-production sample of the loco to match the characteristics of the decoder to the loco's motor draw etc. Regarding fitting, the locos are 6 pin DCC ready and don't require any hardwiring to fit a small 6 pin sound decoder although we have seen people doing this to lessen the number of wires in the boiler. Cheers, Dave
  12. Hi all, We have just received the final CADs for the A3s locomotives and as ever are putting up these up here for review. Bear in mind these pictures are pretty hefty in size, so click the thumbnails to get (far) larger versions! The A4 CADs are advancing and will be posted here as soon as we have them. A full breakdown of variations and further CAD images are available on the main website HERE. Cheers, Dave
  13. Hi all, We've had four further locos in stock today including the first weathered example - H1402 (5814 in Great Western Railway green) and two preserved examples (H1406 - 1420 in GWR green and H1414 - 1450 in BR lined green) alongside H1413 - 1444 in BR lined green to complete the quartet. Info on all the locos now in stock is available Here. Regarding the ongoing discussion on the running qualities of the models, we have been reading the various posts in the thread and taking these on board, however I can confirm that out of the several thousand sold, we have had less than 1% returned with issues thus far. If you are experiencing issues with your loco, then please get in touch with us through the usual channels and we will arrange for it to be replaced. Cheers, Dave
  14. Hi all, cheers again for the feedback so far. The vacuum/air pipes (as applicable) and cosmetic coupling need to be removed for the best performance on set-track curves however on finescale layouts it should be possible to retain the brake pipes dependant on the geometry used. All the parts described are separately fitted. We've 'hand rolled' the wagons on Code 100 as well as DCC Concepts 'Legacy' track, standard Peco code 75 and Peco's new bullhead track with no contact between the chairs and the wheels. Its quite hard to describe but the wagons are more free rolling than any I've seen before. Cheers, Dave
  15. Hi all, a few points thus far: Hi Andy. Although the physical difference is minimal, adding the second deck style would have significantly increased the sales price as a second chassis would be required to accommodate the strengthening bars, so this is something that we haven't been able to include. Hi Brian. Yes! The vac pipe itself will remain (as the vehicles remained through piped) but the erroneously fitted Vac Cylinder won't be present. Hi Ian. There's no plans at the moment to produce these as the post-1970s Warflats are used more commonly for other military equipment so it isn't currently viable for us to tool them up. Cheers, Dave
  16. Hi all, It certainly wasn't Blue Monday in the office yesterday as we received the First EPs for the OO gauge Warwells. No less than seven have arrived with us showcasing all the tooling options for the vehicles. We're happy with the results so far although please note that no rivet detailing has been added to the sides as of yet - this will appear on the second EPs. For those interested, each 'standard' wagon weighs in at 100g as they have a die-cast chassis with those with BR's bogie bolster fittings tipping the scales at a couple of grams more. As ever, we're keen to hear your thoughts. Until then I'll let the pictures do the talking - there's more of these on our main site Here. (The Sherman V Firefly in the final image isn't included, but seeing as we had a Revell kit to hand it was hard to resist building one ) Cheers, Dave
  17. Hi all! Hot on the heels of the first A3 CADs last week, we've received the initial CADs for the Diagram 186 Tourist Third Open. A number of views are included below as well as both types of seating (the original 'Bucket' seating and the BR-fitted seats will be fitted to appropriate models). We've spotted a small number of items that need amending but these will be sorted shortly and followed by CADs for the remaining two types. Also, we've confirmed details of specific running numbers we intend to portray, with each coach being supplied with both numbered and unnumbered versions in the three liveries we are portraying:- Diagram 115 - Third Corridor TC11501 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 115 Corridor Third unnumbered in LNER Teak livery TC11502 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 115 Corridor Third 23896 in LNER Teak livery TC11503 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 115 Corridor Third unnumbered in BR carmine & cream livery TC11504 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 115 Corridor Third E12675E in BR carmine & cream livery TC11505 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 115 Corridor Third unnumbered in BR maroon livery TC11506 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 115 Corridor Third E12493E in BR maroon livery Diagram 175 - Brake Composite Corridor TC17501 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 175 Brake Corridor Composite unnumbered in LNER Teak livery TC17502 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 175 Brake Corridor Composite 24068 in LNER Teak livery TC17503 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 175 Brake Corridor Composite unnumbered in BR carmine & cream livery TC17504 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 175 Brake Corridor Composite E10103 in BR carmine & cream livery TC17505 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 175 Brake Corridor Composite unnumbered in BR maroon livery TC17506 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 175 Brake Corridor Composite GE10078E in BR maroon livery Diagram 186 - Tourist Third Open TC18601 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 186 Open Third unnumbered in LNER Teak livery TC18602 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 186 Open Third 23956 in LNER Teak livery TC18603 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 186 Open Third unnumbered in BR carmine & cream livery TC18604 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 186 Open Third E13293E in BR carmine & cream livery TC18605 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 186 Open Third unnumbered in BR maroon livery TC18606 - Gresley Teak coach Diagram 186 Open Third E13372E in BR maroon livery Full details can be seen Here. 18. Hi, All of our sound fittings are carried out 'in house' however there is a fitting charge (£22) for this as can be seen on our listings. The sound project we use for the 14xx is provided by Olivia's however this is a bespoke sound project. Cheers, Dave
  19. Hi Simon, Neither the 1361 or 1366's are exclusive Hatton's projects so full info on these will be in relevant parts of the forum. As far as I'm aware though, the 1366's are now released. Cheers, Dave
  20. Hi, No photos to hand I'm afraid however the instructions include a full piece on DCC sound fitting - we've included a pre-wired area in the bunker to fit a sugar cube speaker but there really isn't much room anywhere else as the boiler is mainly weighted alongside the location for the DCC decoder. The details are on page 2 of the instruction manual which can be found Here. Cheers, Dave
  21. Hi all, Apologies regarding the toolbox on 5819 - we've checked the other samples received and these are as they should be. I'll pop back down and redo the photos and also make sure this is relaid to the factory. Locos regularly ran without these fitted in service however each 48xx/14xx is supplied with a pair of auto-gear covers to be fitted as part of the detailing back at your discretion. Cheers, Dave
  22. Hi all, Thanks for the posts. Its great to see the first two locos spreading their wings. A few updates for you on the remaining locos; The next four 14xx's to be released will be the following - these are now on-board ship and with us for the middle of February. H1401 - Class 48xx 0-4-2 4825 in GWR Unlined green with Great Western lettering H1408 - Class 58xx 0-4-2 5816 in BR Lined black with BRITISH RAILWAYS (Gill Sans) H1410 - Class 58xx 0-4-2 5819 in BR Unlined black with early emblem H1416 - Class 14xx 0-4-2 1409 in BR Unlined green with late crest We haven't had exact dates through for the remaining locos however they won't be too far behind the above four. As soon as I have the info I will post here. A selection of models from the production run have been received and are available to view below Cheers, Dave
  23. Hi all! New Year, New CADS! We've received the initial CADs through for the A3 from Heljan. These are far from finished but show the main dimensions as well as the detailing work which has been concentrated on above the running board. Further details are available Here. Cheers, Dave
  24. Hi all, You've pretty much beaten me all to it! We had the first pair of 14xx's delivered first thing this morning and are now available for sale. All of the pre-orders for these should be leaving us today however any orders placed from now onwards will head off after Christmas. We've also updated the page on our website with the 'full story' on the development of these locos which is available HERE. This also includes downloadable copies of the service sheet and instructions. Almost time to move onto the next project now this ones done....where did I leave those drawings for the Fell.... Cheers, Dave
  25. Hi all, I'm sure the majority of you have seen the first samples of Heljan's 07 either on here or at Warley. We received the blank colour layouts and have prepared these for our exclusive release in HNRC livery. As ever, they're now available to review below. For such a small locomotive they are crammed with detail and in its unique livery (for the class) even the chevrons are different to standard liveries! These have been produced from many images of the locomotive as it worked in various locations from 2005 to 2015. Cheers, Dave
