  1. 🤣….you clearly have never tried a Lime drizzle cake then? Tell you what Rum drizzle is the boll*ks. It is like a giant Rum Barbar. Also Weapons Grade Damson Gin drizzle cake is pretty dam good, it benefits from being stored in an air tight container in a dark cupboard to age a bit. Mrs Grizz’s Lemon Drizzle Cake will turn your eyes up at the corners, it is that good.
  2. Actually lemon and lime is sublime! 🤣
  3. She asked Lemon or Lime?
  4. @polybear thank you soooooo much bud. Mrs Grizz sends you a very massive thanks too. We had no idea that these things existed. You are very welcome cuz. 😊 And as you say no lining pockets etc …….and 100% cured, with no possible reoffending.
  5. Good tool for the job.
  6. I so hope that she gets the support and recognition that she deserves. Without her actions to save and protect others without a thought for her own safety, it would have only ever likely been far worse.
  7. We bought a double Ninja air fryer about two years. It is another weapon in kitchen. So it is an ‘as well as’ piece of kit, not an ‘instead of’ one. Totally agree about the difficulty in cleaning the non stick. At times it can be quite hard to remove deposits of very thin grease, without damage the coating. We do diced, roasted, mixed veggies, like peppers, onions, potatoes, charlottes, sweet potatoes, butternut squash etc, with horbs and loads of garlic. All fresh and chopped up. The smell is incredible. We often have that with roasted chicken wrapped in bacon. All done in the air fryer. It is perfect for a meal for two to three people. Any bigger, then we would use the fan ovens.
  8. Hopefully someone got the bar steward with a 9mm cure.
  9. Morning All Woken up by a severe headache at 05:00…..swearyswearyswearyswearywords. Thought that someone had left the curtains open but turned out to be the headache. Managed to stagger downstairs to make the morning Mokkas and let out the chooks, who were gradually protesting louder by the minute at not being let out. But headache aside, I’ve got to get with the program today though, as tasks on on the mental white board include cutting a lawn (hopefully without the assistance of the chooks), general tidy up, purchasing some Harvey’s ale, preparing for guests this evening etc etc. Best bit is that the couple that are coming over this evening, we have known for around 30 years. Very much looking forward to seeing them both as they are great fun to be with. They are part Swedish so we are likely to be drinking like Vikings tonight…..again…..happy days! Good job that I’ve nothing planned for tomorrow really. Oooooooo apart from mowing one of the paddocks with ‘Generally’ the tractor mower. Not much fun mowing on the slope of the Downs, hungover…….as it takes a reasonable level on concentration not the role the bleedin thing over on the turns. ……so a big old cooked breakiefast will be required. Now let’s see…bacon, soss, black pud….yep good start…..fresh grilled tomatoes with salt and horbs, large grilled mushrooms, small mushrooms braised in Worcestershire sauce….then either Hash Browns or Bubble (probs can’t have both as Mrs Grizz will be ‘helpfully’ questioning why we need both), eggs (fried, scrambled and or poached), fried bread (soaking up the bacon fat from the bacon pan), toast and bread. With orange juice (with and without bits in it). Washed down with a large pot of splosh. Please note that we are not having baked beans with our breakiefast, we don’t normally anyway but on this occasion we couldn’t even if we wanted to, as there is currently a shortage of Heinz BB in the Deep South of East Sussex, due to the fact that they have been redirected (possibly air dropped) to other parts of the UK that are in desperate need of them…..apparently. Followed by fresh toast and marmalade or honey…more cups of splosh…..then I’ll probably need a bit of a post breakiefast kip! And hopefully I’ll then have enough energy to go and do the tractor mowing. Have a great day all. ATB Grizz
  10. Got to go…inspections await. Good luck @Dave Hunt….give em hell.
  11. Ah….So she found out the hard way then….that it’s not just the woods that bears s£it in….it’s hospitals as well! Another successful candidate processed through the re-education program….I am sooooo proud to part of this service to humanity. Oooooo and please do pass on my thanks to CC for including me as part of this team…..must admit I’m rather enjoying it. Nothing really really like frightening people in positions of power. Even if that power is only in their own head. Right so who’s next?
  12. This meeting with Reggie the Rope… …...from the traditional tree? Or more creatively….behind a car (vehicle of choice) for five to ten miles (clothing optional). Pay for View available nationally at all pubs throughout the UK as a crime prevention public information film type thing, on a Friday / Saturday night..…with all proceeds going to victims of crime. Just asking for a friend….who happens to be in the creative fields of rope making and car / vehicle hire / tv pub entertainment and criminal correction service / business.
  13. So what DID happen to Doreen, the authoritarian receptionist, when she bellowed at CC to, and I quote “Get those filthy animals OUT of MY hospital”….? ….
  14. We have had some visitors today and “Somebody has been drink my beer”……. well actually I have had to….to ….share! Well a few……a few precious beers from the castle dungeons. Me in a sharing beer mood. That’ll be the one I’m sharing, bottom right. 🤣
  15. Ahhhhhhhhhhh my eyes……my eyes…….😫 er no offence….
  16. Getintoratheralottatrouble? …..A lot of Trub sumink after this fashion my dear Bear?
  17. Uho…… https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-68758088
  18. Best is mechanically recovered…..the food reclamation equivalent of a mini gun…… Nice! ….to quote our resident medical expert…. It is ultra processed food.
  19. Today’s Sesame Street is brought to you by Grizz, sponsored by Harvey’s Georgian Dragon and a bottle of Bowmore. The mowing, and the rest of Sunday’s work can toddle off, apart from the anti chicken gate I’ve built. And that is the most polite version I can manage from the depths of my workshop, with Bolt Thrower smashing out ‘Kill Chain’….ah happy days. No responsibilities or worries about who might be next to get killed out on the job. Dog’s blobs to all of it…….well at least til I’m back on shift again. Medi screan has been a fantastic achievement with the rail industry…total disclaimer from those at the top….it’s sum total is to achieved binge drinking,….or so I have heard. Two clear shifts…..🤘😝🤟…… mean while Valhalla.
  20. Ah ‘Winged Tree Rats’…..down on the DEFRA general licence as recognised vermin in the UK. Down in the Deep South of East Sussex we have a 12 gauge cure for those. All legal and everything. Did you know that there are at least 7 respiratory diseases that humans can pick from these little F ers. One sesson with Mr Semi Auto click click ….a brief moment of Pink Mist….and the problem of Winged Tree Rats ceases to be a problem.
  21. Morning All. There is a strange glow in the sky to the East…now either Heathfield has fallen victim to a massively delayed Viking raid (however that is not completely out of the question as it could be that a drunk relation has gone off on a nostalgia trip again) ….or….brace yourselves….or the Sun is out. you know the Sun…..seems like we last had it visible in…..Ooooooo I don’t know…November? Gotta get out there and catch some rays man. It is finally making the Grizz winter hibernation urge disappear…..well that and the smell of smoked bacon wafting up the castle stairs. Ah yes there it is….the breakiefast bell is ‘a clanging’………laters!
  22. So I take it that the same kit, with the number 88, in the same font would also be banned? In case anyone isn’t aware 88 is a known Neo Nazi symbol as a code for double of the 8th letter of the alphabet H. Strange that there is no mention of that….
  23. Morning All I have found that missing hour that has bugged my bank holiday weekend off…it fell down the back of the hot water heating system. Such that the little bar steward hasn’t heated the water in time for me leave at my intended 07:00 this morning, so no breakiefast for me this morning. 🤬🤬🤬 Off to do some inspections this morning as well as program a ballast drop. It is due to raining again in Sussex today and tomorrow and the next day and then again the next day. Getting proper p*ss*d off with this now. Carol Kirkwood does seem to be quite on her game either as some days she has predicted no rain and yet we’ve had rain. So I’m going back to nailing a piece of seaweed to the shed door and seeing how we do with that. Have a great day all. ATB Grizz
  24. So is that Curley Fires and Baked Beans with the Frog Legs and Snails then?
