Now I know someone intends to run a full length train! Good on yer! Are you going to model the shunting as well?
No, but the Highland Sleeper rescuing the Lowland Sleeper on Shap would be a sight to behold

After a close check of the etches, it appears I may have c*cked up a couple of dimensions.
I've checked my notes and may have added a number twice, instead of once - DOH!.
Time to redraw and get etched again.....
We live and learn.
Hi Mick,
What is the process for getting parts etched up, please? (Eventually) I will be needing to get steps/handrails and meshes made up for a project and I'd like to know how you go about it.
Cheers,
Marcus

I would really really like the TPE set, but I can't find even a tenuous reason for them to end up in Fareham!
Sir, you need to start running model railtours :-) #Rule1

Both eyes peeled for the Deltic, just because it’s the first. Can ears be peeled too?
I doubt you'll need to keep your ears peeled... I suspect the Detlic will be loud enough to be measured seismically

I also need to find a new supplier of metal servo brackets.
Might have missed where you were getting them from... .But I can not reccomend highly enough David's Dingo mounts:

The webpage (as of 08:20 4-4-20) states he is still open. I belive he posts parcels as part of his daily excercise.- 1

It will come as no surprise to all but, regrettably, we have had to cancel this years Interactive Modellers Workshop. We plan to be back in 2021.

My only problem will be purchasing anything new. With footfall into my business dwindling and costs to try and cover over what could be months things are going to be tough.
Main thing is everyone staying healthy.
So true, the economic impact of this will still be echoing at Christmas I reckon :-(

Hi David,
First thing. Back up your work. Then check its backed up.
Try running AnyRail as an administrator - right click on the AnyRail icon and the option should be in the list. This will give the application a few extra permissions to write files.
Uninstall AnyRail - Go find the email with the licence and registration details, you'll need that later. Go to the start menu and type uninstall - you should see and option for 'add or remove programs'. Select this and use it to remove AnyRail from your machine. This should get rid of anything to do with the AnyRail aplicaiton on the computer drive. Feel free, if you are comfortable, to check "C:\Program Files (x86)" for an AnyRail folder and delete it.
Then reinstall the program. AnyRail is currently on Version 6.2xxx.
See if that helps.- 1

The one which Pauline and Joe Lock previously organised for the THE ROBERT BARCLAY ACADEMY (FORMERLY SHEREDES SCHOOL). Now organisation is via the HODDESDON MODEL AND RAILWAY CLUB. Being held on the Saturday.

Ahh, no. The date is on a Sunday as a trial to see if how this affects attendance. The IMW is not, per se, an exhibition of layouts but more of a day where modellers can expand their skills and learn how other people do things. Whilst there are a number of similar events clashing with them is unlikely.

Guessing that the day is to avoid a clash with another not too far away?
Another what where?

Just to bump this topic and get a question in. Does anyone have images of the VMS style signal with calling on or shunt signals on the pole?

Dear All,
I'd just like to publicise the Chiltern Model Railway Association's Interactive Modellers Workshop later on this year:
With an accompanying IMW Facebook Event
There will be a number of experts attending (subject to availability) and there will be a wide range of topics covered both in tabletop demos and group talks.
Please let me know if there are any general subjects you might be interested in, as there is always room for more.

Despite modelling ECML I do like the idea of some sleepers and a GBRF 92. But I am having an expensive year already with pre orders!
ECML.. Tick :-)

But as a 14 vehicle set, they are mighty impressive :-) And at a bit over 12ft - long !
This is a test run before a visit to the paint shop.

Yes.
I've seen the N one working but having to bring up 12 (?) trains to get at the bottom one doesn't appeal to me!
6 trains on each side. So you would only need to move one side to get to the bottom, and both sides move independently.

Because as I understand it, the 'transportation unit' is taken back by Nelevation and reused to transport further units.
You understand incorrectly! It is a transport frame for our units, so that we can set them up at exhibitions. It was designed by myself for this purpose.
The Nelevators will be free standing units as part of Whitedown Junction when it goes out.

Well done chaps.
Now if only it hadn't been delivered at a time when the entire family wants me to run them around Xmas shopping. Spare time - denied

Whatever you do, if you want a reliable solution, do not use a WiFi camera at an exhibition. Something wired will work, wireless dips in and out.
A search on Amazon for 2ch CCTV produces a number of viable options. Tho you might want something with more channels and addable camera, sadly nowadays it is often worth having an extra pair of eyes on the front of the layout.

Those pictures were taken here (give take a few meters):

If one wanted to split hairs, I'd say that was in Mardly Hill, but its only a few meters south of Woolmer Green.
