  1. Is this without circuit board mods/tape? I didn't bother to see if I could separate out the 4 lights (front red/white rear red/white) using the decoder as I assumed they were hard wired to work for DC.
  2. I'd like to know what this connector is? A new PCB would sort out all the issues, but I can't identify this specific connector.
  3. Assuming it is a full 14 coach rake did anyone notice how it is coupled together? Are the magnetics holding their own now?
  4. 70001 on in the first few days of opertation: I'd say that was clagging a bit :-)
  5. @Code3Displays- Can I join the queue for these kits, please? Happy to guinea pig as well. Plenty of electronics experience to assist :-)
  6. Not having a lot of success with the magnetic couplers on a full 16 coach set. My initial expectations were the wheel sets were just new and needed running in. However, after an hour of looping round the MRC test track (being pushed) the coaches thrn failed to remain joined together when pulled. Will try some lubrication on the bearings to see if that frees things up, but at this point the magnetic couplers don't seem up to connecting a full set of coaches.🙁
  7. Had my first run of my set last night and they are quite spectacular. We have a day and night set of videos on our club page: Stevenage and District MRC Out of the box the full rake of 16 coaches proved a little heavy for the magnetic couplers. I suspect the wheel sets will free up with a bit of running. The rake felt very heavy even as a manual movement. The really funny thing is packing your stock away and the lights still being on as you put the lid on the box 🤣
  8. A slightly tenuous link to the MkV coaches but since they are in them might as well as here as anywhere else.... What is the correct term for the cling film esq material these coaches, and lots of other things are shipped wrapped in. This is the wrap that goes around each individual coach. Would like to order a roll for other packaging solutions. Thanks
  9. All the better for little meets large 😃 This might also be the first Caledonian 92 to travel across Ranoch Moor.
  10. Mine have arrived. I'm away working so won't see them for days. Ces't la vie. Might take them on the real thing next week 🤣
