As an (allegedly) 15x great grandson of Baron Dudley, Sir John Sutton, who lived in Dudley Castle, I wholeheartedly approve...
S'pose it would have had a roof on it then and no polar bears or killer whales in the garden?
Coincidentally I've been to see one of the best steelworks scenes on a layout today, again a Black Country flavour to it all. Bostin.

There again, it's Rugeley, and probably too much bother.
Lived here for four years and never had to go to sorting office for a parcel; they've got the hang of not carrying stuff around all day and taking it back. Not like Stafford where I'd be at the office 1/2 times a week. Mind you, most of the time they only carried 'Sorry we missed you' cards.

Thanks to @jonhall for pointing me in the direction of 1 in stock.

I assume you’ve tried Mech Models, who stock US outline. If it's old stock, Model Junction may have some left if they haven't closed down completely by now.
Neither returned any results on their sites when I looked. A shame as Mech are a short, pleasant drive away.

Would it help if I installed an adblocker in Chrome?
Nope; sorry.
I have discussed this in a meeting this afternoon and we are awaiting a response from Quantcast, who provide the software, as there appears to be a known problem.

I'll be discussing this with the techies in a meeting this afternoon.
I've discussed the issue and they've been able to replicate it at that end so they'll look to try and resolve it.

Appears to be end of line though.
It looks that way. It's not the end of the world; the structure's not a problem and I'll just have to do a Blue Peter job on the mill stand.

on sale too…
It'll be the postage and duty from the US that's the killer; they'll make more than Walthers will!

'To order' from Walthers is often measured in glacial epochs. I'll probably want it inside 6 months.

If anyone has one of these kits available, or even just the reversing mill stand please give me a shout.
Thank you!

My apologies, didn't see that
I've just given you Gold access for 24 hours on here so you can see the difference in action.

My regular reading of the BBC News web pages invariably has interspersed ads.
I was surprised how many there were when I've used BBC pages whilst abroad as it obviously doesn't recognise the user as a TV licence holder.
RMweb Gold is a lot cheaper than a TV licence and some people spend longer on here.

Normally it is an add for a local service.
From the description that's just one of the pop-up ads rather than the privacy pop-up discussed in this topic. Just click on the X or the Close button.

Will there be new product announcements??
Possibly. But don't hold me to it.
Disappointment is never a pretty look.

as well as occasional extras, like a whistle or safety valve lift I suppose.
Although you will get power-related sounds up and down the speed range you won't get whistles and other ancillary sounds.

The're trying to rip the a*** out of it.
Fine, you go and make your own but don't insult an established business with premises, staff, overheads and needs to properly detail product safety data and ingredients.

Very good; wouldn't want anyone to think you'd forgotten your heritage.

Except there seem to be lots of people who do pay for it and still get the ads.
No they don't. And no one has said they have once their gold membership is completed.

Many, if not all, of the maps would have been out of copyright, so I'm not sure there would have been any licensing costs.
There is if there is a commercial selling of the information/data involved.

I consulted that site quite often without ever paying them any money. Perhaps too many other people did that too.
Although I don't know of the reasons for closure there would have been costs for site hosting and any OS licensing before deriving any benefits from sales. I have used the site for maps research but maybe the PDF downloads didn't generate enough. It's a shame and has been a useful resource.
I do see parallels with some of the recent grumbles from some over advertising on here and I hope this hasn't been a victim of more use than support.

We seem to be missing dioramas of small, dirty rooms. Does this signify a change in artistic period? The end of his loo period?

Sorted - Walthers Cornerstone HO 933-4601 Rolling Mill

I think Walthers were the building contractor.
It's one of the inspirations why I was after the kit. Just need to change the vent angles.
