The blue notification bar saying that indexing was in process seems to have disappeared from the top of the Activity pages now and checking back to some old topics that haven't been touched since 2009 they all seem to have their pics so I think we're there in terms of pics and quote formatting etc. I need to have a look at post counts and reputation scores etc and see if there's any black holes.

I missed what what there before as it was the middle of the night here, but I support Tony's own earlier suggestion of the Modelu model of him with his camera.
Would you have a link to a pic of a mini-Tony please?

Morning gents, a small query here. I am having trouble making the dropdown menu stick long enough to allow a selection, as illustrated. Clicking elsewhere on the page first does not help. Is the issue my touchpad (no problems normally) or the software, I wonder?
I've not observed that when I was testing (I did use to have that problem in the Admin area on the old software which I used to get around with a long press on the top of the menu and then the list used to stay up) but will try and investigate further.

as always the subscriber misses out.
No they don't, they get the DVD and they may have preferential rates and/or an initial gift.

Bagnall's was such a huge part of my childhood in Stafford. A Saturday morning trip into town wasn't complete without a mooch round Bagnall's, drooling over and dreaming of all the stuff I would never have and couldn't afford!
We're too young to remember the South Walls shop but similarly Saturday mornings would include a trip upstairs at Bagnalls past the Trix cabinets at the top.
Maybe the hobby's not changed much as it always seemed to be 'old' men upstairs? I think upstairs may have closed in the late 80s and it never felt the same.

I do not have the slightest idea of how to produce an avatar. Obviously, a picture of the real me would be horrid, but, maybe, a picture of the model me?
I thought I'd help out.
At least there's a nice profile pic if people click on your avatar.

Thanks.
1 Will the ignored list from the previous RMweb be observed?
2 Where will the ignored topic listing be accessible?
1. Probably not; it's installed as a new application.
2. Account settings > Ignored Topics

Two relatively minor items. Is it possible to have more information given in the e-mail notification when someone reacts to your post. Currently I see the attached image in my in-box (previously I stated what the raection was). Opening the e-mail tells me who reacted and what thread they reacted in but not what the reaction was. Sometimes its just nice and fuzzy to get a like or an agree reaction but now if I am desperate to know (!) I need to check the thread.
Second item, the options to react to a post now seem to be limited depending on the "weighting" of previous reactions. Sometimes I'd like to choose an option no-one else has, so might we be able to revert to the full range of reactions at all times please and not the weighted reduced options? I know its a minor thing but it seems counterproductive to offer a range of options but then limit them just because of a trend in prior "opinions" (yes, I know they're not really opinions but you get what I mean).1. Unlikely that's possible - it's intended to make you visit the post/topic.
2. You don't just have to choose a reaction (as they're known) that's already been used, mouse over the Thumbs Up icon and the full array should display.

One: what happened to the facility to ignore a topic? Has it gone, or have I just not worked out how to do it in the new format?
The Ignore Topic function has now been reinstated.

Apologies if someone has mentioned this already in the 26 pages of posts but can it be possible to restore the one button press to get you back to the home page.
Richard
Just click on the logo.

Would it be possible to split the Layouts section up into defined sections (by gauge/era or geographical location), at the moment there are a huge number of projects competing for space and with only 25 entries per page and a large volume of traffic you can miss good layouts as they are away down off page 1 in a matter of hours.
A mammoth retrospective task - especially when so few topic title include a gauge. However there's a forthcoming feature which may help in some ways.

I'm trying to find the dimensioned drawings I had from Braithwaites when I did a tower but they're filed somewhere!
A download on their site gives it as either 1000mm or 1200mm square. I'd say that's 4' ish so go for the 1200mm.

You've found something which I hadn't realised and which could be causing be causing some of the login problems people are experiencing - I just need to find where the flam'n software has stored that phrase so I can edit it.
Now found and adjusted - which explains why I was getting so many people who couldn't login as the system had old email addresses and they were trying to login with newer ones.

I can't see any reason why but it did allow me to edit it down to only show one copy of the images and didn't repeat after re-submission.
No answer at present but I will keep an eye on it elsewhere.

I had been adjusting the grey button colour earlier and that seems to have had an impact on what you see. I see this:
Not sure why your arrows are hidden/invisible.

Sorry, I didn't realise that as the box says Display Name or email address. I guess a typo that needs to be fixed at some point.

Yes, I realise the browser was doing it
Please don't blame the software then. This topic is a 'wishlist' for features - not grumbles.

Not sure if this is possible using this forum software - but its used elsewhere. I'd like the ability when clicking on an unread topic, to go to the last post in that thread I had read, rather than the last page (or the first page).
Click on the dot or star to the left of the Topic Title - that will take you to the first unread post.
Click on the time of the last post and it will take you to the last post of the final page.
(Previously explained several times in other topics).

Yes, I know, but I said "simple". I used to be able to click "chrome", type "R" (for RMweb/new content) and I was there. This is so laborious.

That's just something your browser was populating - not a site function. Bookmark one of the options such as Unread Content and put that on your Bookmarks bar.

and on the subject of feature images it would be nice if we could replace the Profile background image with something more personal too
You should be able to; can you see a Cover Photo button over the top right of your Profile header?

It looks like the indexing has completed so all attachments and quotes should now be formatted correctly. I need to cast an eye over post counts and reputation scores etc.
