    In that case my layout could be classified as a distribution centre. Not a works but the buildings are similar anyway.

    i believe they may have already brought it out as im pretty sure i saw one in a local model shop when i was buying a pca wagon.

    looks pretty good, its given me a few ideas on the types of sheds i could use.

    yes, ive built the baseboard and glued down the track. so just got to get a move on with the scenery. ive done little bits like getting started with the concrete road surface next to the rails but not much else.

    Yes I had a look at a few Walters kits but I'd like to have a go at scratch building. A mix of the two might go quite well together.

    My layouts only 5'3" l9ng so maximum length of a outbound train (powder concrete bags) is 4 cars (vga) with a loco such as a class 08 and max 2-3 with the likes of a class 66 or 37

    From looking at northenden I'm getting the impression that a cement terminal is just a point at which the cement and aggregates are mixed. Tell me if I'm wrong.

    As I'm modelling a modern image layout would the kilns still be heated with coal or fuel. I already have a sentinel but another one can never hurt.

    I was thinking of modelling a small private one that only deals with small trains of cement and aggregates going in with a couple of trains taking bags of powdered concrete out.

    I have a train that consists of one pca wagon and one mfa wagon for aggregates. So probably just the pca unloading points and aggregates storage.

    Does anyone have any ideas as of what types of buildings I should put on a cement works. I've already got plans for a warehouse but I'm a bit stuck for any others.( bar the storage tanks) any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Everyone seems to be mention locomotives (mainly steam) but if I'd like to put on the Bachmann pca wagon in either bcc or plain grey.

    Are mfa wagons in use with any small private rail companies.

    recently picked up this Bachmann pca wagon. just a light weathering at the moment. picture doesnt really do it justice, shame it didnt pick up on the chassis weathering.
