  1. Looks amazing. It's surprising what you can fit into such a small space.
  2. Okay, I may have to look into getting a Bachmann cea wagon or swap it for a box van.
  3. The static grass is looking good. Could you post a close up of the ballast as it's quite hard to see.
  4. I've added a load to one of my wagons. But it comes in loaded and leaves loaded. The only way I can think to get around this is by using a tarpaulin.
  5. How do i cover up the fact that my wagon has a fixed load.
  6. Just bought a new van for the layout. I know it's out of eta bit but I'm going to paint it up and say it was bought of a preservation society.
  7. Hornby brought out an msc livery sentinel a year or so ago now.
  8. This is a bit off topic but where the small railing on the sentinel (nearest the door) is a small crack/split. Will this expand over time. I think it should be fine as I had to put a tiny bit of plastic glue in there to fix the railing in place.
  9. I've just finished a layout with two sidings (so one point) and am wondering how much shunting I would be able to do. At the moment I've been able to do a little.
  10. I dont own either my self.(But am getting a Bachmann 08) from what I've seen both models are pretty much the same. Just that the model I want (DB shenker) is cheaper with Bachmann.
  11. It just depends what era your modelling as the unbranded ones are ex railtrac now network rail.
  12. I personally haven't had any issues with them but they can be quite thick.
  13. Methalated spirit is really good at cleaning track I've had a 500ml bottle that's lasted me ages.
  14. Try using games workshop citadel plastic glue. I use it for all my modelling.
  15. I think it was the 4wdm sentinel it's just such a good model. Shame about the decoder.
  16. Has anyone else noticed that Hornby arnet using there own set track. For the layout.
  17. ye that's pretty much what I thought I found out in the end tho that it was just a dodgy piece of track so I've bought a new piece.
  18. You've got a lot further with yours than I have with mine. Still need to get some pipe for the body.
  19. I don't know if I quite understand what your saying but you could have a go at Scratch building some modern image buildings. Bit of plasticard sheet and I beams would make quite a nice warehwarehouse etc
  20. My layout has a removable fiddle yard and I'm trying to find a way to join and unjoin the two boards without damaging the track. At the moment I'm joining them with fishplates but I can see it getting damaged and I don't really want to be trying to fix a point.
  21. I know that Hornby make a decoder but from what I've seen the the wires seen to be quite brittle. This has made me a reluctant to convert over to dcc as I wouldn't be able to run my sentinel. If there are any other ways of giving it a decoder or companies who make a 4pin decoder please tell me.
  22. Two reversing loops would give you continuous run. I know a diagram would be helpful but I don't have any plans at hand.
