Taken a while to get here with this one as I decided to go full function lighting which meant a complete rewire of the chassis and the body. This has day, night, tails on both ends which can be also switched on and off on end at a time. I also added an EOT lamp.
Ready for decals and bogie paint:

That's looking great Andrew, it was a shame the Accura one never went ahead so it's good to see someone create one! Should look excellent with some Mk5s behind it.
I don't suppose this is something you'd consider releasing yourself as a conversion kit? Either way very keen to see how the Sleeper one comes out.
Cheers,
Sean
Hi Sean
Here’s a finished sleeper with the Mk5s. I’m happy for people to PM me if they want to give the conversion a go with my parts
-
I just need to sort out the bogie height with the B4s on - they sit higher than the Commonwealth bogies that Bachmann originally fitted.
-
These all take a Bachmann Mk1 chassis with the coach ends cut off

Another sleeper on a Hornby chassis just as a mock up.

I have decided to clear out my development models for space. If anyone is interested in some of them please PM me (I am not giving them away but before I put them on eBay I thought I'd give followers the chance) - I have 10 in total, all painted of which 8 are in full livery. They will all need bogies and buffers to complete and I can add in bushings for certain bogies if you know what you want to use.

Maybe this is what an Accurascale advert could have been like!

Andrew, how can I order some of these from you?
Hi Antony. Can you send me a PM to discuss what you need?

This is one side finished. Some fine mesh will be required for the fan grill, I can't think of a way to make a decent print of one with that curve...

One side and roof done - I need to add a little bit of detail (some rivets and the lugs at the bottom of the sides)....
I don't think I can do a decent fan grill and I am wondering what to do about the fan but that can wait until the end (it might mount inside on the Dapol chassis)

So, models of:
Early RTC
Late RTC/Early Railtrack
Later Railtrack/Serco

oops. missed a window I think!!

Change of approach I think. I managed to get some cheap Dapol bodies and started to do some of the grills. I have struggled with getting the cab profile right, but, the body should be fairly straightforward.
The prototype seems to have a join seam across the roof in line with the back of the cab doors. Given the amount of roof modifications required I thought this might be a way forward:

Yes, that's what I'm very interested in for the life of me I can't figure out how to DM though sorry.
I tried to DM you but seems you are not available. You might need a certain number of posts first?

Hey! I'd love to make one of these myself to you still have the files to print these? I'd be happy to pay :)
Is this what you’d be after:
The kit is designed to take Replica Railways bogies.

Hi, yes, the one piece with separate roofs comes out much better. Please PM me if you’d like one

I had 3 of 3mm either blue or purple LEDs in a row in the holes you can see in the well print. I then have some translucent plastic covering them to diffuse it. You should be able to do it with SMD LEDs. I fitted a decoder and operate it off that.

The body fits the Hornby chassis too so they are actually very similar dimensions
