  1. Ah. Yes. Quite.... There you have me at a disadvantage, as the hen said to the fox. Sorry - am reading the Pickwick Papers right now and Sam Weller keeps butting into my conversations... Been many years since I’ve been to Sligo but my favoured idea of turning the SLNC platform into a through road doesn’t survive contact with my memory of the topography. Only option I suppose would be to install a facing junction from Sligo station on to the Quays line and head for Rosses Point some way along that....would be worth hearing that little 2-2-2T bark up the gradient on the way home!!
  2. Brilliant show. All credit to the organisers! Great display of trade and talent. I was particularly taken by the demonstrator who patiently taught my son how to make a P4 crossing. I’m a 7mm man myself but it’s on the doorstep. I’ll be back.
  3. Lovely ! nice to see it’s an S2 as well....
  4. Thank you! Yes it’s a fictional line - basically a west coast version of the Timoleague and Courtmacsherry. So expect random bits of CIE stock and hopefully an SLNC tank.....one loco so far which is an MGWR single wheeler as it might have looked had it lasted until the 50s....and yes, the station is a 95% copy of Dromahair.
  5. An occasional posting will happen here, as I mostly use the IRM forum but have benefited hugely from advice here. Rosses Point is a work in progress - a 1950s might have been SLNC/MGWR branch from Sligo to Rosses Point. A little done since I started earlier this year -some rolling stock and station building. Track to follow... I’ll post more if anyone’s interested.....
  6. It’s such a great resource - think a lot of us rely on it for help and advice! Am sure they’re doing their best to get back up and running.
  7. Thanks - they have been very helpful.
  8. Hello - could anyone point me in the direction of some 7mm 1950s-60s transfers please? Ideally looking for eau-de-nil flying snails etc.... thanks David
  9. Thanks for the wealth of responses! Lots to think about ....
  10. Thanks - plan is to use dividers to help gauge handrail length. I’ll look out for some snipe nose pliers too.....
  11. Thanks everyone - I’ve now removed it from my order at Eileen’s ! May get some dividers instead....
  12. Thanks everyone! Have been building this 6w coach-almost done- and found the handrails one of the more challenging aspects! Hence my acquisition of a jig...
  13. Hi everyone - may seem like a daft question but I’d really appreciate some tips on how to use this effectively, please! All advice gratefully received
