Looking forward to seeing the finished layout. A couple of years back I conducted a survey on the condition of the line, my employer, NWR, had been approached by several individuals about running some final excursions along the tram way. While the line is still currently in situ parts are very poor indeed. I do believe the council are actively pushing for the final removal of the tracks from the tramway, it’s only a matter of time I believe before it’s final lifted/tarmac’d.

selling multiple items to one individual probably isn’t going to go down well with many especially as they will most likely be hiked in price to the 200 mark and resold. That said if an individual retail shop sets its own price against the RRP and that requested of the manufacturer surely that is for them and Bachmann, in this case, to discuss, should either feel it necessary?? Should the gentlemen’s agreement no longer be sufficient then the manufacturer/supplier should explore other avenues available to them, what ever they may be?

True for those who know about the chassis rot issues. There are still some who are not fully aware of the issues these and others have. Given the high prices now commanded for these loco’s one, Poor unsuspecting modeller may purchase thinking they have a bargain and need to do a small repair then actually end up with expensive scrap bar the running gear. Only last week one went on the bay of E, Dutch one, listed as used but like new, tested only and excellent condition. Looking at the side on photos is was very evident that the chassis was swelling, it had a slight bow. Some poor fellow paid 3 figures. I doubt they new about the rot issues. One does not like to speak bad of others or cast aspersions but in this day and age too many lie or are Deceitful with the full true facts. Personally I agree well over priced for a broken model, I fear someone will think it’s a simple repair and so a bargain.

There are several sellers, both private and trade that are selling them but not being specific about the chassis issue. Found several Heljan 47’s also in a similar vain. I would of thought trade sellers are legally obliged to disclose know. Issues, I’m sure trading standards could clarify. Shame as I have always found Rails a very good place to buy from but seeing this add it does cast some shadow over their ethics.

Morning Dave, Hope the parents are better? Was just wondering if there’s any update? Don’t mean to keep on, but if I need to pre order from Rails or Hattons etc I’d rather do so now so I can at least secure the livery’s I’m looking for. Many thanks in advance

Nice to see there exist some decent folk who are not out to just make money. Some Anglia one already on eBay for 200£ Mark. Shame on those who are just out to make a quick buck.

Would be great to have a 308 or 310 emu in 00. The 325 & 321 would also be fantastic. DMU 175 or 180 Loco wise a decent 86 or 89 for AC and diesel would be the 13, 66 or any of the peaks

I’m looking for a Hornby version of the above, either New or used. If used in good condition please.
