  1. I have to agree. What is the point if they aren't going to make it DCC ready?
  2. It's a while since I was last there, but the No2 Refreshment Room at the station always used to be worth a visit.
  3. As you say, we probably didn't have a release date. I was asked the same question, making claim for N gauge Kings in June 2019. I said "towards the end of the year", and they were happy.
  4. I seem to need a user name and password to get to that?
  5. Dave Thanks for clarifying the position. Although I have pre-ordered one, this is the first time I've ever pre-ordered something from you. It's not something I normally do. If this project is dependant on a level of pre-orders, there ought to be a comment on the website to make this clear. Otherwise, there may well be a number of people who look at the Garrett and think "Yes, I'll have one when they're available", but not pre-order because they don't realise that, if they don't, there may not be a product at all. Dave
  6. In my case it was the deposit for three Kings, total £202.50. I put in the order in August 2018, and made the claim a couple of weeks after DJM went into liquidation. The payment was made on a Lloyds Mastercard. The following might be of help: https://www.lloydsbank.com/credit-cards/help-and-guidance/section75.asp especially regarding the length of time.
  7. It probably depends on whether you're doing a Section 75 claim or a charge back. Lloyds did a Section 75 claim for me with little problem, only needed two phone calls. The only issue I had was that I had to make the second call to chase it up after they'd not done anything following the first one.
  8. The credit arrived in the account overnight.
  9. Having heard nothing at all from my CC company in the two weeks since I contacted them, I've just phoned them again. I pointed out that I was aware that several people in the same situation had already received refunds (handy things, forums!). I was told that they'd written to me - I haven't actually received anything (letters from them usually take an age to arrive). I was then told that I could expect a credit in my CC account within three working days. Object lesson, keep at them !! I'll let you know when (if?) the credit arrives.
  10. For what it's worth, the receipt email I received for the King order has, as the subject: Your DJ Models Ltd order receipt from August 26, 2018 which makes it look like the contract was with the company.
  11. I have also contacted CG Recovery and got a similar reply. I've just contacted my credit card provider and set the wheels in motion. A tip for anyone else phoning Lloyds Bank. When you get their "Please say in your own words the reason for your call" question, don't include the word "claim" as the automated system will direct you to their insurance team.
  12. Perhaps I need to take a subscription. That way I get the DVD, and I'm not paying extra to get a free gift which is of no use to me, as an N gauge modeller.
  13. I ordered a medium N gauge one several years ago. After the original confirmation, didn't hear much. Last year I moved house, to somewhere I could build a larger layout, so contacted them to let them know my new address and asked if I could change the order to the large N gauge version. Answer yes, and within a couple of weeks it had arrived. Allen appeared on my doorstep at about 7:30 one morning having got up really early and driven nearly 200 miles to get to me. Everything was installed, tested and explained within half an hour, and he was back on the road again. So far I've had no problems with it. Dave
  14. Do they have an online shop or do you have to pay them a visit? I can't find a link to an online shop on their website.
  15. The Warley show website has DJ Models listed, stand A11.
  16. Bigger boiler (unlike Didcot's new build which will run with the smaller No 1 boiler), so should be plenty of space for the motor. They also ran with the 4000 gallon tender as did the Kings. A thought on tenders. The moguls ran with the smaller 3500 gallon tenders. Could the lower height be a reason why the NEXT18 chip isn't planned for the mogul?
  17. I've also submitted an EOI for 2 (the BR liveried ones). I would also be interested in the 47XX.
  18. Perhaps it's the number of heritage line Autumn Steam Gala events which happen in September and October? That's assuming that those people who are likely to want a King are also interested in the 12" to the foot versions. Personally, I've just spent two days at the SVR, along with 6233, 46100, 70000, 63395, etc.
  19. I've now paid the deposit for the three I expressed interest in. As with everyone else, it looks to have gone very simply and smoothly. DaveB
  20. Dave, I'm also in the position of having moved house (but not country!) since I registered interest. How would you prefer I notify you of my new address? I'm not too bothered about the invoice as my email is still the same, but would like to be sure that the Kings turn up at the right place. Thanks, Dave B.
  21. Dave: If you could also respond to the email I sent you on 25th September I would be grateful. Thanks, DaveB
  22. My order status on the website remains as yesterday, and I haven't had an email advising me that it's been despatched. However, the good news, it has just arrived. I hope the rest of you get your orders soon as well.
  23. I'd previously tried info@djmodels.co.uk as per Dave's post in the N Gauge Forum. I've now also sent an email as per the above posts, asking for confirmation. Unfortunately, a week later, I've had nothing back yet.
  24. I also placed an order on 25th and the money was debited from my card on 26th. In my case, the order appeared in the "Your Invoices" section, and was apparently picked on Friday. As of now, "Your Invoices" states "Despatched", while "Your Orders" shows it as status "Open" which implies that it hasn't been shipped yet. I also received the email quoted above this morning. Hopefully my order is in a parcel awaiting collection by Royal Mail this evening...?
  25. Dave, the point that Doggerlonian is making is that, whilst he THINKS he's ordered a King, in the absence of any acknowledgement he can't be certain. I'm in the same situation. I think I've ordered the three BR liveried examples, but I've had no acknowledgement either. What happens if the website failed to register my order, and I don't discover this until after the order process has been locked out?
