I've just had an idea and I might do an alternative version of the LNWR Mogul I made with a Belpaire firebox, a different smoke-box door, a flat running-board, a set of splashers, a slightly-short chimney, a slightly-short dome and a different safety-valve.
As you can see, the original inspiration came from the LNWR Prince of Whales Class but as a 2-6-0 Mogul.
Thanks to a marvellous render from a user on this forum, I decided to make the model based on that as it was an Improved Precendent that was given an additional drive-wheel.
As you can see, this is my first-time editing images of real-life steam locomotives. This locomotive is the LNWR G2 Class 0-8-0 as I am making it into a 2-6-0 and re-using the number 1991 on both sides of the cab and it will be painted in LMS crimson (with a mix of BR crimson as the Crimson Lake is much too dark) with yellow-gold lining on the boiler.
What do you think - is it a good idea to make an improved version of my Mogul?
