  1. I thought I'd give everyone an update! Firstly, let's start off with the models nearing completion: NWR No. 2 'Edward' - the livery has just been applied and now the lining will be added and the face will be made and painted. After that, the model will have glazing added into the windows and finishing items are to be added on. NWR No. 7 'Toby' - nothing much done to the model, except the face needs painting. GWR No. 5741 'Montague/Duck' - same with the Toby model but with slight improvement. Secondly, there are models that are given improvement: NWR No. 3 'Henry' - new green colour added, running board improved to resemble the front of the TV Series model (a hint of it), improvements made to the tender and lining and decals to be added on. NWR No. 5 'James' - eyebrows and eyes improved, new whistle added on and new decals will be added on. NWR No. 37 'Rosie' - repaint into her current livery in the TV Series. Finally, there are some more characters in development and planning stages: NWR No. 1 'Thomas' NWR No. 4 'Gordon' NWR No. 6 'Percy' NWR No. 9 'Donald' NWR No. 10 'Douglas' GWR No. 1436 'Oliver' NWR No. 12 'Emily' NWR No. 44 'Rebecca' NWR No. 1014 'Ryan' NWR D11 'Paxton' NWR D1 'Daisy' NWR D5702 'Boco' NWR D13 'Pippa' NWR D14 'Emma' I hope you all liked the list of characters that are in the pipeline! Keep smiling and stay Really Useful!
  2. I was intending to make the Bachmann Emily model more detailed.
  3. Great nameplates. I bet you'd have to pay extra just to get them made. Still, great models.
  4. I wonder how it would hold up? I used to own an 8F myself, but I sold it years ago.
  5. I did have one by Graham Farish at one point, but I swapped it with another locomotive. So, now, I am saving up for the Hornby model which is the preserved 6233 Duchess of Sutherland in LMS Crimson.
  6. That could be used as D261 with the face from the actual Hornby model. Though, really, I just use the Bachmann model.
  7. Interesting model. Me? I am thinking of attempting this with a Bachmann Jinty (which has the later flat running-board in the later books) with incorporated parts from a Hornby Thomas model and an accurate chimney to it. Nice. Have you mentioned it in the Railway Modeller magazine?
  8. Nice work so far. I bet it still works better than before.
  9. Toby the Tram Engine's basis, no doubt! I have the Silver Fox model made into Toby.
  10. Good luck with all that. I hope you'll get it working, soon.
  11. My goodness, how the progress on the layout has grown... You don't suppose there is the station between Thomas' branchline and the NWR Mainline, do you? I could model that in N Scale (mostly RWS with a hint of TVS Adaptation).
  12. True, but like most fans of Awdry's work, I am merging the TVS universe with the RWS universe.
  13. SURRPISE! Here's another model I did in late 2016 after my Molly model (expect pics of her soon): What do you guys think? I just thought I'd share her with you before I repaint her into a new livery. You'll soon find out.
  14. Thanks, Tony. One day, I might give the lining thing a try, some day. Normally, I just paint it on and use some masking tape to keep it as straight as possible.
  15. And I was right! Very clever and job well done. Maybe I should buy some more to get a whole vintage train to go with my LBSC E4.
  16. I was thinking of doing something similar with the Bachmann Percy model I have.
  17. I've seen those and they all look wonderful! Would you plan to do the same with your recent A0 models?
  18. Yes, I would but I only post my completed models there to make it special. Then again, maybe I shall.
