  1. the new stock is nice and modern....very comfortable especially in 1st class, but they are a bit sterile. When I was there at the end of August all the trains we travelled on over the Albula consisted of new stock, though there were some Ge 4/4 IIIs running around with older stock
  2. Yes, again about 50% of the trains are made up of the fixed sets.....they are nice and very comfortable but a soulless. All the new driving coaches seemed to be in Landquart for commissioning.....As you say, the times are a changing.
  3. After a week there recently, I'd say approx. 50% of the trains on the Albula are Allegras. I certainly enjoyed the ride down the Albula on one of them where the driver kindly kept the blinds open, but I have to say, my camera spent more time in it's bag than on previous trips. I also wonder how long the Ge 6/6 IIs will survive.
  4. Ordered 3. 1150mm diameter which should be enough for my plans. It seems the price depending on the example can be quite variable and given the price of the material where I am, the price is pretty reasonable. Postage for 3 was 30€.....looking forward to them arriving
  5. Resurrecting an old thread... Even with the higher prices theses are good value compared to some other manufacturers......I'll be ordering 2 and possibly 3, it will save me a huge amount of time
  6. As a bit of fun......I'd be tempted if I wans't already so invested in the HOm stuff
  7. If coming directly from Germany, postage is generally about 17 euros for a medium sized parcel. There are some smaller manufacturers in Switzerland but then you have to factor in import duties unless the they will post from Austria as some do....if you can pay in euros, they seem to be able to post from the EU....
