  1. If I were to go ahead with a branch line, could I please have some help? The mainline is still a possibility. I hope my previous posts have solved several questions.
  2. Reliable internet is not required for the layout, WiFi is needed to use the forum we're on...
  3. What is everyone's favourite CID Character? DI?
  4. Yes, I know it is crazy, but my own normal home is even smaller and needs space for other things. What I will do is I will memorise the key points then go and do the work over the holidays/weekends.
  5. The flat is the same thing as the holiday home. Where I am now is my normal home in Central London. There isn't proper internet in the holiday home and I can only go occasionally.
  6. Anything that requires the physical boards or layout can't be done- my layout is in a holiday home. Sorry.
  7. What I meant by 'No, you can't see one of those diagrams' is: 'There isn't one up (yet). About the larger floorplan, I bought the flat new-build and the only floorplans I have are ones for the whole floor in the brochure. That's just how big it gets once I've cropped the photo, so the irrelevant bits aren't on there.
  8. No, no post was missed, just absorbed the information quietly. The branch may be an idea as well, so can I please have some help?
  9. No, you can't see one of those diagrams because I wanted to do Minories (is an explanation needed???) but access to the sliding window (sometimes called a Juliette Balcony) is required by household authorities. The flat's floorplan is in post 20. For reference, the wall on the left is just over 12'. Due to this spanner in the works, everything has to be re-considered.
  10. The 'Thanks' by whom??? I'd like to work on the track plan is what I meant. Help requested. The added requirement is the access to the window on the bottom of the diagram. Sorry and thanks!
  11. Could we start re-working the track plan?
  12. Actually, what you have just described has already started to happen! I will brace them ASAP.
  13. The other spanner in the works which must now be mentioned after this 'meeting' with the authorities is that I have an 8' x 2'6" layout which doesn't match my existing layout height-wise- that's how I got the locos. Sorry for the issues list!
  14. I have some bad news- in the past few minutes, the household authorities have said that window access is vital to the existence of a layout. Sorry for the last-minute spanner in the works! All plans are possible now, even a 12'x8' loop, but that's a maybe.
  15. Well, I meant given that fact that I have several un-braced MDF Boards as outlined earlier.
  16. True! Any help/suggestions on the baseboards?
  17. I understand the issues with a rail-mounted turntable, but motor bogies to which a piece of ply is glued may??? work. I'd like some help if there is any that can be given.
  18. I will just make a circle with N Gauge track and wheelsets, before mounting a piece of balsa on. Would this work?
  19. Ok, so maybe I'm going to get a Peco one.
  20. Your late taxi driver friend did the Knowledge, probably a '21 point' - a small point of interest. PC Stamp chasing successfully, in full police gear, whilst DC Mickey Webb couldn't catch up with one of those ultra-fit 20-somethings in plain clothes! In case you're interested, this was in Riccochet, the last football riot to feature in The Bill.
  21. I might also just scratch build a small turntable, has anyone got ideas?
  22. I have a Dapol kit, but can't get my head around how to make it, any suggestions?
  23. Are there any suggestions for a large turntable? Through the above chat, you can easily find out the length (1 foot)
