  1. Thank you Annie, hmmm North British you say? How about these then from a session I started running tonight? Wet your taste buds a bit more? I will edit with class information when I have been back into the game
  2. Some screenshots from my WiP Highland Branch in Trainz: A New Era Skye Bogie 4-4-0T name Burghead Collects the coaches for the Passenger Service at Pearcross Station Meanwhile the 'Barney' 0-6-0 takes the early morning goods over the bridge between Loch Felkerk and Ness Back at Pearcross a 'Wee Ben' 4-4-0 buffers up to it's passenger service an all stations there and back While passengers are climbing aboard we look inside Pearcross shed to see a number of Highland Locomotives including the elegant Castle 4-6-0 in the foreground and the large Clan class 4-6-0 in the background The 'Wee Ben' 4-4-0 en route to Ahyr Station after departing Ness
  3. Thank you I will find it and have a good look That is quite an honour and coincidence that you first selected a route that I made all those years ago! I can still remember sitting at college in the refectory between lessons and working on it, happy-ish days haha You are welcome to the first copy of the new version when I complete it
  4. Thank you Annie, it would appear some dependancies are missing from what Content Manager is saying in both 2009 and T:ANE
  5. AHA! I found how to do it Installed my copy of TANE and it has got more of the items working in it! So I have decided to start by upgrading a route I made at least 9 years ago in Trainz 2006! GWR Country Railway it is on the DLS under the Author: lner Not so sure that upgrading is the correct term but I am back dating the country line to Broad Gauge while keeping the mainline Standard Gauge. We will follow GWR 2-2-2 'Gorgon' on a engineering train along the line by way of a tour and save for the track and one or 2 items I have had a quick play with a basis for the remaking of this route. Here Gorgon is leaving the mainline connection station with a standard gauge train passing in the background Passing through Binger Halt Onto Epwell The train whistles as it passes through Chipping Spa Race Course Station - I am thinking of giving this a horsebox yard Into Box...Chipping Spa Tunnel Emerging at the other end Chipping Spa station itself no sure quite why the platforms are so long but I kinda like the look. This is currently as far as normal services can reach Under one of the newly downloaded timber bridges Finally coming to a halt with it's wagons of materials at Fenny Norton 'Gorgon' stops besides an apparently time travelling signal box. Now to the DLS to seek Broad Gauge signals, appropriate platforms more buildings etc!
  6. I will do so then Yes dependencies when I swapped from playing Trainz (Original - 2010) to Train Simulator (Railworks - 2017) I didn't miss downloading an item and playing the will it won't it work game haha!
  7. Hi Annie, Did you say that you use 2009 as your go to Trainz? I got it for free (sign up to the NV3 Newsletter and you get given a legit copy by them) and still am finding that Darlington Works freeware isn't loading (just checking CDP Manager) so just wondered if that is the version you use? Christopher
  8. Looking good! I wish they did a piston engined version
  9. The way I see things from my own experience is as follows: I am still on my own, despite not following the regulation that seems to apply to our hobby of not regularly washing/using deodorant every or eternally wearing the same clothing 3 months straight, but like to think that at 28 there is time yet, so I may not be the best to pass on my opinion but here goes. When it comes to the opposite sex I am quite open about my hobbies (I don't launch it at them straight away haha, I tend to let it come up on conversation) as it is part of me and there is no sense in hiding it because they will find out if all goes well and then you have set a precedent for not being all that honest. Some will still (despite this rumor that girls mature quicker than boys) immediately take the mickey like we are back in school again - but lets face it this situation = a shame but would you really want to be with someone who is going to act like that? Some will mickey take gently and in such a way that you share a mutual joke and it's all harmless Some will find it quite interesting and are then more at ease talking about their own hobbies (knitting seems to be one that girls I have known are nervous about mentioning) Trust me there are worse things to have to explain than model railways myself it is a mild complaint in the scheme of things, but due to a combination of bad dentistry (they actually got shut down by the Police ultimately for employing non-qualified Dentists and I think there were other charges too) and an accident while doing PE at school I had to have my top teeth removed that makes me nervous as hell to tell a girl but if it bothers her then I would rather know sooner than later if you follow? At 28 I don't think you should be missing teeth in this day and age but there it is. The main issue and I am sorry but this is a one way street from my experience is that if a woman or girl is at a exhibition/real railway event there is a awful lot of staring that goes on, now I don't mean second looks I mean almost dribbling which I find off putting as another bloke so god knows what the person they are looking at feels like. Basically I think that it is worth remembering that we are talking about real people with real feelings etc So be honest not forceful about your hobby, don't be creepy, wash etc and treat them as you would anyone else which I feel is the key part, you can ask them for a drink later but initially just talk normally Christopher
  10. fantastic set up! I should think it will give you many hours of pleasure both in construction & operation. how long including couplers is the USA tank please?

  12. Nice Purchase on the 812 I am getting on alright with T:ANE but I really dislike the high attachment point of the camera to the loco/stock looking over it rather than at it I feel
  13. I would humbly like to add my 2 in development & under construction layouts: Dadlington Quay & Ravenshead

Same as everyone calling a plane “jets”.. they aren’t all jets.

  20. Not really a whinge at Hattons but my only issue I have had with them sounds like this: I purchased some track at the beginning of the month to test my new 64xx & 3200 on the Hornby power track was missing one of the push down buttons and the 2 quad straights were bent at the ends during transit (Yodel), so of course I straight away rang Hattons to explain what I had found and they told me that if I sent it back, they would refund that postage and send me replacements. I did this and the replacements were on their way back to Hattons via Parcel Force due to the length of the box and on a 48 hour service messaging Hattons the tracking number which they acknowledged, so I waited Friday (1st 24hour period) then Monday (2nd 24hour Period) and then Tuesday morning I checked the tracking number myself and it came back with zilch - nothing at all! So I called Hattons up because I was now concerned that they may not have received the items back, but I needed to be sure before chasing Parcel Force up. 1st Person I spoke to after I had explained the story so far: No nothing has come through yet but if you don't hear from us in a couple of days then ring again I left it until Friday 2nd Person I spoke to after I had explained the story so far: Nothing as yet, the guy who deals with returns has just gone on lunch when he gets back I'll ask him and call you back (then confirming my number to ring me back on) I heard nothing so on Saturday Morning now 2 weeks after the original order was made: 3rd Person I Spoke to I explained the story so far: Nothing on the system, but all parcels are signed in as they arrive before they are checked so it doesn't look like it has. Thank you I replied that is all I have been trying to find out! So the call finished there with both sides agreeing to ring the other if anything was found out. I rang Parcel Force (which with 20/20 hindsight I could've done on the Tuesday) and they told me that Tracking Number was a load of garbage and so using the postcodes found the correct one and said that it was delivered and signed for on Tuesday! I looked it up and confirmed this. Then Rang Hattons again and was fortunate to get through to the same chap again, I told him my findings: OK he says I will go and see whats happend to it and call you back. I received a call around half an hour later to confirm the package was with them, but at this point I asked for the items to be refunded on the basis that it was 2 weeks after the original order and I had been sent around the houses by 2 of his colleagues while only trying to ensure that they had received the parcel - not to harass for the replacements or a refund or to have a go at anyone and send toys in all directions, just to try and do Hattons a favour and find out if I needed to chase Parcel Force or not. This was agreed by him and I was refunded the items sent back plus the return postage cost (£12 something crazy for some track) I am happy with the results and will use Hattons again but if Person 1 or 2 had just said the magic words "all parcels are signed in as they arrive before they are checked" it could have been sorted out far quicker and I would have been able to test my 2 (still untested) models.
  21. I have joined in with an order for an as preserved 828 just too beautiful not to!
