  1. Just been experimenting in anyrail for an as yet un-named oo gauge micro layout. Initial size will be 4ft x 1ft with a possible later extension to 8ft x 1ft. What are people's thoughts?
  2. Hi everyone, Having purchased a dcc version of said loco from ebay, am wondering what kind of layout you would make for this? P. S further stock still yet to be purchased.
  3. You could try corex floor protection comes in 2mm & 4mm versions. You can get it in your local selco.
  4. just a couple of photo's showing testing of track layout.
  5. hi everyone, as title say's this is going to be my micro layout, bottom will be a platform of some sort.
  6. Hi everyone, I'm getting back into the hobby after a layoff of a few years and wanted something simple but kinda realistic to get going with. I've decided to do this plan of a simple junction that trains run through. it's on a 4ft by 1ft board with additional fiddle yard on either end and in n gauge. What are other modeller's thought's?
  7. Thank you very much for the very interesting link ( long island jack ). there's some very interesting photographs on that site.
  8. Really simplified the plan for a micro will only be using half of the grain elevator. what do you think of this?
  9. As can be seen, I've been playing today and now come up with this. Trains would enter from the r/h side and drop of cars. grain elevator switcher would then distribute cars as needed. What are your thoughts on this plan?
  10. I could possibly extend it by about another 4ft, but this would be my absolute limit of space length wise. might be able to squeeze another 6" width wise as well, but again this would be my absolute limit.
  11. Have come up with this now, after having another play in anyrail.
  12. simplified the plan even more now. Is this any better? Track is Hornby's as trying to use some leftovers.
  13. simplified the plan a little, wondering if this is any better? Less track more space for industry.
  14. to be perfectly honest I hadn't given era or industries a thought, although I've just purchased a bn green/white scheme GP50 from Ebay. I believe this is from the 80's. Have now quickly revised the plan as can be seen. Was considering timber industry maybe based on the locomotive that I've just purchased.
  15. Have been looking into doing a 4ft x 1ft american micro layout. Have been playing about with anyrail and sought of come up with this plan so far. Looking for peoples thoughts on the plan? Trains would enter from the l/h side, not sure which one of the upper two lines would be inbound/outbound? slight change to plan see revision
  16. Would this work as a yard plan? trains would enter from the right, although some could go straight through using the avoiding line to the bottom/front. I might be able to extend it by about the same amount. also would it look good winterfied?
  17. With the purchase today of a Roco BR290 in DB era 5 period, could anyone suggest an idea for a small 4ft x 1ft baseboard micro layout thats based around using this? the model number is 43458 if this helps? best regards Martin
  18. someone please show me a decent model that Hornby have made in the last 10 years or so?
  19. Because i was hoping that in 2019 they might have changed their ways and actually produced decent models at decent non over inflated prices. No it's not just because of the Christmas train either. I could buy models from other well known manufactures that are at least 10 years old that still to this day make Hornby's new offerings look like toy trains.

  21. I see Hornby are still making they're usual bunch of crap even in 2019 and charging an absolute mint for it. So glad i gave up on Hornby a long time ago. It's about time they really upped there game and actually produced something of decent quality for a change.
  22. Hi everyone, would just like some opinions from others about this plan of mine for a ho scale micro layout . It would be 8ft long by 1ft wide and using stock from era 5 to 6. Is it viable as an idea?
  23. looking at using some corex for sound deadening purposes.
