  1. Hi everyone, I purchased a Bachmann oo gauge rural commuter train set ages ago, in order to kick start my renewed interest in model railways again after several years break. I've come up with this idea so far as a stopping place for the class 105 cravens contained in the set. The size would be 8ft x 1ft and the area to the left would be a hidden fiddle yard, maybe with a traverser. just wondering what other peoples thoughts are on this plan?
  2. Was thinking of doing this as a permanent way yard
  3. Hi everyone, I've just bought a br blue class 25 n gauge loco from eBay. Hoping that this will now kickstart a layout on a 4ft x 1ft baseboard I purchased ages ago but so far not done anything with. Could possibly extend this to around 8ft overall. Has anyone any layout ideas based around this purchase?
  4. hoping to get the baseboard erected next month along with first bits of track work bought.
  5. new plan, same size baseboard less track scenery to be added.
  6. welcome to Brandon lane, a 4ft x 1ft plank. Not quite sure what i'm going to add scenery wise yet, might add a platform at the bottom lines for some dmu's etc.
  7. Have decided on this plan finally. Welcome to Brandon Lane.
  8. Have made a little alteration to the original plan and settled on this.
  9. If I were to make the fiddle yard off the right hand side of the board I could extend the sidings longer in the plan in post 3 by moving the point work almost to the l/h side. Think that might be better.
  10. Marc, Taking the plan from post 3 what if I changed the 2 other lengths of track so they kinda followed the sidings with points. Would that look better?
  11. come up with this plan as well.was thinking along the lines of a permanent way yard. just not sure about building wise etc yet. fiddle yard would be off to the right hand side.
  12. This is another idea that I've come up with.
  13. Just kicking around some ideas at the moment for a micro layout 120cm x 34cm. Atttached is one of my ideas for either a stabling point or engineers sidings
  14. Sorry fogot to add ho scale. Sorry forgot to add ho scale.
  15. Hi everyone, I'm getting back into the hobby after a break of several years. I'm looking to do a micro layout with a board size of 120cm x 34cm. I've recently bought myself a fleischmann V100 diesel loco era 3 with the intention of buying suitable wagons at a later date in 2018. So I'm looking for ideas as to what I could model in the space with this?
