  1. Has anyone got a copy of the instructions for 2-384 peco tank underframe they can send me please? Between not being able to find these and trying to sort an under etched toad I'm ready to head back to p4!
  2. Yup, we do our PTS assessments there. The driving school covers a lot of third rail lines - it's a lot quicker to walk to the wheel lathe rather than the south coast to practice with the shorting bars and track circuit clips. I also assume if we turned something third rail you could set up the pick up shoe? (It's not for the mule, they use the yellow bars in the four foot)
  3. I suspect that they are for GWR. the initial cascades sets are undergoing testing now and should be in revenue traffic by September from memory.
  4. Any idea when the 61xx will be out Chris? I've rummaged in the depths to find and paintstrip a body.
  5. Red led's are around 474 terra-hertz! the colour is directly related to the frequency.
  6. The 61xx etch looks promising - any extra parts to titivate the body on the etch Chris?
  7. Try messaging pixie, he has one running on finescale.
  8. I hope he has the sense to fit moquette seat covers in standard. Despite best intentions and looking really good initially the gwr hst set with cloth seat covers is looking decidedly nasty in places.
  9. The crew doors arm except the one behind the driver I think.
  10. In 2mm there have been loaded coal tipping lorries, look for pixies blog...
  11. morning - any chance of a list of the its you have in stock shot down to 2mm scale please?
  12. How about trying veroboard? Spanning the gap between the tracks.
  13. , I'm in the same boat but don't want modified types.
  14. I'll bully him as well - 56097 can wait!
  15. Eddie- are you disposing of your old snow ploughs?
  16. Search for bryn's herring on rmweb. I've seen the finished object but I believe he is too busy with other commitments at the moment. Also seen here: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/36645-pixies-workbench-parkends-stead/page-8
  17. At least it keeps the rain out. I prefer the current plain blue
  18. The first 150 will appear in a few months time.
  19. All hst power cars carry a set of chocks, in an emergency they make a bloody good hammer. I wouldn't want to trust one totally though having seen a driver take a 143 over one...
  20. ahem, light grey dampers thank you - although they quickly weather down.
  21. a depot that works like a depot. three sprinters into the shed, three sprinters out ten hours later, lots of empty sidings, no gimmicky fuel point or endless streams of type 4 power!
  22. Can you get away with cutting the bits out then paint the chassis black, I don't know how much you need to cut away to get the right reveal.
  23. Puzzler - look at the two pics of 5227. There is little depth to the tank sides, it's a case of removing the tanks, cutting and boxing it out then refitting.
  24. I think Stephen has a kit for the tanks too - tarting them up isn't easy as Bryn found out.
  25. Take an axle out and measure the length. Pick the most similar wheel set to order. If nothing matches, send them off for turning.
