  1. Too sunny for modelling...Cheddar on the scoot :)

  2. us is st phillips marsh. On depot although long vehicles get moved around, the tanks get bunged down whatever road is free ( and that's not much late at night) It's not through lack of clearance - just practicality
  3. ttx series tanks, we couldn't handle bogie tank wagons on depot, they'd take up too much room
  4. 43179 is spare at spm this weekend - I have been working on her all day - you may not be lucky this weekend...

  5. Thats brilliant - unusual to see one from above rather than underneath in a professionl capacity - just missing the inevitable "sneaky fag" smoke...
  6. Very nice indeed Pete, I'mglad to see the return to Coombe Junction.
  7. You could also try painting patches on with lightened/darkened versions f the paint used on the model, but don't go too crazy with the colour variation...
  8. I'm really liking the 210, I remember the start of the project on rmweb the last. Coincidentaly I was thinking or the RR arriva livery, I had assumed it was atw tho
  9. These Chiltern guys are soft... air grease guns! As Bryn says, if you can get into the industry you won't regret it.
  10. Well Lee Scratch Perry was amazing live... But at the topof my playlist this week is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhGN7NksUpM
  11. I really like the night pictures
  12. Cool, as an apprentice we get dumped on exam work usually to run around doing the odds and ends for the normal day gang.
  13. Aux heater is for coolant. I assume you were dealing with eberspachers (150/14x use webasto) It sounds like a grand fortnight out for you...
  14. Its cool Jo, I didn't know how to say it...look on the brightside, I spent 15 minutes today trying to work out why the NRN wasn't working...word to the wise - log in to the LOCAL (not highlands) area code... I guess it could be some kind of isolating cock, I can't see that much else would be there...
  15. assume away! appears the multi socket is flush mounted on the cab front though, directly below the door...
  16. looking at craig's second picture...do I spy the first damaged 70, the cab front door thingy seems to be missing...
  17. Interesting read, only a couple of classes have the overrideable pass-coms... 158/153/150 and 14x didnt get this fitted... (such a pain to test, reset, recommission brakes for each one...)
  18. Enjoy it dude, I ended up getting an apprenticeship with first gw instead of going to uni...I'm two years in and still have to pinch myself...just wait til they get you blocking
  19. Its looking great lads, aas someone who works at a hst depot, nothing looks out of place or contrived (tho I'm personally not keen on the soft scottish decking between roads ;P) Have you tried putting a shore socket onto a mk3... I wouldnt think It was possible from the coach... but the handles would make it easier to plug it in, the plugs are big ally castings (apprentice test #34 - plugging in the shore with one hand)
  20. Band of gold - Marcia Griffiths
  21. Chain of fools - Aretha Franklin Theres abeen a couple og good tunes in the game recently
  22. agent double O soul, Edwin starr also Mr B, gentleman rhymer (best to listen to him then than describe)
  23. umm its Heljan...so far a new set of central windows have been added, and I have had to replace a bogie side. To fill one bogie end I have ordered a spare set of bogie mouldings so i can rob the inside end, giving me a section of moulded plastic that should fit perfectly (its still on my desk waiting for me to mount the aws? sender on it...depending on how this turns out, I will either do the same or scratch up an end piece from plasticard.
  24. my mistake... never understood the southern region... Most of the 70's livery locos I have collected I am trying to detail and weather subtley. All will have been seen (or the class/subclass) at Bristol Bath Road Shed 1976-1986
