  1. Does anyone know where to get R-T-R modern image?
  2. Could work... 3' cassettes on either end with 6' in the middle on a busy 2/3 track mainline with a commuter station and a few sidings- too boring??? Minories?
  3. Yard long trains are enough- but modern image is best.
  4. Hi, does anyone have any bright ideas for cramming O gauge into 12ft by 2?
  5. Setrack Planbook is great, but Freetrackplans can give you the Hornby version for free.
  6. It would also be great to model a huge French station, like the Gare de Lyon+Bercy today.
  7. I've got quite an idea, covering the section of mainline from the bridge where 2 tracks become 4 at P'boro to the A47 bridge. Covering, naturally the NVR having had a mainline link to the Whittlesey line (like the old GER). Peterborough NVR is a large-ish station with 2 platforms, two road shed, turntable and two long carriage sidings + Railworld. Furthermore, the Whittlesey line is shown as far as Frank Perkins Parkway- Oh, and in O without too many 'compromises', other than what's not necessary. This would include New England shed.

  9. I like the idea that a fiddle yard is basically a 'train storage system' that allows more trains/variety on a layout. Plain English: an excuse to run the stock that we've all bought over the years!
  10. Just a space for people to show the world their track plans, especially those that never came into fruition...
  11. The best (read: worst) email I've ever read had the words: 404-Page Not Found written over it infinite times!
  12. Look online for 'JD delivery bike' should show you an example- I think...
  13. Imagination exists and a layout of a railway just beyond the next fell/hill/mountain/glen/ben (local terminology applies) could exist...
  14. Here's the little digital sketch I drew.
  15. The opposite side of the road to the crossing lights, as a 1:87 driver can't see the sign if the crossing house is blocking it!
  16. Just measured- A shade over 1m, so with a cassette system, a TGV is very practical!
  17. I've mapped the whole route out with Google- yes, it hits the centre of Hilton!
  18. I'm going to freelance a little layout with two platforms, a siding or two and a single track throat. I hope the TGV will fit into the longest platform. Does anyone know how long the Jouef TGV is incl. two coaches?
  19. Thanks! Cakebox 2 is on the way, pending the preparation of a plan!
