  1. Unlike unrefurbished 142s, the 144 & 143 are not held together with gaffa tape! As an engineer said at Neville Hill, there are different levels of crap, we here have the better ones, Newton Heath, nicknamed 'Faulty Towers' has the others. Happy Christmas. Arran & Charlie
  2. Class 33s Can be collected at St Albans & Dartford at good prices to RM Web folk. Charlie@dckits.co.uk Happy Christmas.
  3. We are talking to the artwork designers at the moments re Wessex Trains 'Visit Bristol' livery, we intend to do this with a Valley Lines one. After that the attractive Regional Railways set has been much requested. Samples of the 144 Bodyshell should be done by late April so looking good for the 143 during 2012. Seasons Greetings by the way to all from Arran & Charlie. PPS Travelled the other day in Manchester on a un-refurbished 142, Christ!!!! Bring back the 101's. Now that would be progress.
  4. Hate Marmite, luv Bovril. Happy Christmas to all. Charlie
  5. We are talking to the Graphic Designer of the original artwork. As for a 123, you better wait for Bachmann.
  6. The dummy coupling will be a plug in dummy, sorry. Charlie. We are concentrating on the next project now, you will either love it or hate it!!!!

  8. The Hornby 142 is not the best model in the world, but there you go! The plan is to bring in spare chassis 'just in case', so nearer the time let us know! Charlie (Arran's Employee)
  9. The Rostas for 144's are mixed and do not generally fall on 3 car sets or 2 car sets, they are random. As far as I know the general rule is any 144 will run on any rosta. With certain exceptions as they are sponsored by West Yorkshire & South Yorkshire PTE's. So York can get them in any combination via Harrogate. They normally do not go to Manchester via Diggle or the Hope Valley. they avoid the Settle Jc to Carlisle line and do generally not go on the East Coast mainline north of the Harrogate line Junction. They seem to normally avoid the ECML South of Doncaster and get scared if the go farther East that Scunthorpe. The Leeds to Blackpool via Copy Pit run should not have them on the rosta but I know this rule is sometimes broken. Other than that they bounce about quite happily with there refurbished older Class 142 sisters, rumoured to be sponsored by Blackpool pleasure beaches 'RIDE OF YOUR LIFE' promotion! The refurbished sets on 142 & 144 all have new Chapman seating, interiors and interior lighting, mainly this only includes the Neville Hill based units, our model will have the Chapman Seating.
  10. Class 143 sheduled subject the Artwork from designers are: First Great Western 'Local Lines' livery. Arriva Trains Wales. Then after second batch of 144's we aim to do: Valley Lines. Wessex 'Visit Bristol' Livery. Regional Railways. If any demand we would consider a limited edition 'Tyne & Wear Metro' and Provincial liveries.

  18. The next project is ongoing, two in fact! But unlike other manufacturers we need to get the 144 finished first. Body Shell design almost finished, chassis electronics & pickups being done as we speak, Class 143 Drawings to complete along with chassis mods. The FLA Maersk container samples (finished model) arrived today, modified FLA Wagon shortly, these should be on sale at the Warley NEC show, if the wind is blowing this way and UK customs are asleep! If not then Wakefield, Wigan & Darlington! The new project's (New Wagon)will be announced possibly at DEMU next year but the DMU will be after the release of the 144 & 143. These take priorty.
