Alton sub is right next to the main road which makes viewing relatively easy , the good weather today certainly helped too.

The top and middle photos are new to recent releases , Oxford Diecast haven’t produced many utility vehicles until now . The last photo features Oxford models from Chris Code , specialises in decals .

Yes there is a metal version ,although the wooden variety seems to be more common. It seems strange why ready made or kit British utility “polon” models aren’t commercially available. Regarding your photo I haven’t any additional information on their design, appears to be 33kV. All the best, Paul.

The basic top beam on the BICC SF60 is designed to be moved depending on the degree of deviation , the featured photo illustrates it’s setup for optimum angle .

The model was based on one found just outside Winchester with the line running near to Romsey. The height of this particular design can vary quite considerably. This model along with the PL1 D30 were built as “feeders” for my substation.

From the 1960’s -BICC. I have several original CEGB negatives as well. Hope to get these developed at some point.
