This was printed way back in the 1960’s when the line was first constructed, sadly CEGB literature doesn’t appear to stay in print for long as the company was constantly developing.

I’ve been building power grid structures using Plastruct/Evergreen for over fifteen years and haven’t noticed any changes . -

The Eaton Socon substation has one very similar . The first prototype was challenging to build as I only had one simple diagram to work from resulting in some guesswork.Using the original National Grid blueprints enabled extra accuracy and detailing . Both models took considerable time to construct but I learned a great deal from the earlier version . The new tower has also a detachable ground wire tower.
