The bullet pencil is quite a sort after item now. I have seen them sell for up to £100.

Hi Peter, the Mogo was vac fitted as far as I know so yes.
Done a bit more to the brake van. Handrails and buffers fitted.
I did discover that the sprung buffers won’t work as supplied. The securing nuts are not large enough being smaller than the holes in the bufferbeam. So the buffers would simply fall out. So I made a shim from scrap brass fret drilled to size and secured behind the bufferbeam. Problem solved and the buffers now work as intended and don’t fall out. The old modellers maxim of don’t throw anything away proves it worth again.

As the weather as still a bit chilly I decided to save on the heating in the cabin and do a job inside the house in the form of another Parkside kit. This time a GWR 12/13ton open goods wagon. Picked this one up yesterday. As ever a very straightforward build with all parts fitting well.
I also picked up an LMS 20 ton goods brake van to pair up with my Jinty. Going to start on this one this afternoon.

Hi James, just a case of making a small hole in the ballast with a knife and gluing in the base for the stools. I am using cork for the base coloured with concrete weathering powder.
Cheers, Ade.- 1

Hi Guy, the site is almost full tonight. As you say, not cheap. But you cannot fault the location. Not had chance to look at the old goods shed yet.
Cheers, Ade.

Toddington Station Yard and Engine Shed. Queen Mary SR bogie brake van and private owner wagons. Little museum in a former signal box and a working ground frame which you can have a play on. The Diesels take me back to my train spotting days in Nottingham in the late 1970’s with Peak and the Type 1.
Having tea and cake in the Flag & Whistle now while awaiting Merchant Navy P&O Line for our next ride.

I was not tempted lol. But I did give it a sniff and it did still have a faint smell of chocolate.
