I think any event which encourages someone new to take up the hobby must be considered a success. My wife and her friend now want to build an N gauge or 009 layout for themselves. So how good is that!

A bit off-topic but I’d be interested to know more about what they’re doing with the tram (in an operational sense, I already know about its repatriation and restoration). Is it still 3ft gauge (rather than original 3’ 6”) and now battery-powered? And how far can it run up and down at Statfold?
Sorry I don’t know the gauge. But it is battery powered. It runs from its shed location down to station behind the roundhouse.- 1

Looks great. Well done!

Simply like the look of the wagon is the easy answer. Already have a MICA van for prototypical trains.
The layout will eventually go out into the garden for some 40 feet. So I will be running some non GWR stock as a bit of variety.Cheers, Ade.

The brake van and meat van now have got the roofs done in white. (Also corrected the brakes on the meat van.)
Had an enjoyable trip to GOG show at Kettering yesterday. Picked up some more working drop eye couplings and fitted these this afternoon to the rake of Teaks. Really impressed with these. They give a nice close coupled appearance.

I bought another three sets of these today. They were selling well as the display rack was half empty by dinner time.

More pics of Dapol’s other offerings can be seen in the Kettering thread in the exhibition forum where I have posted the rest of my pics taken today.

Very enjoyable day out at Kettering.
Trade stands seemed to be doing well.
Some nice layouts on display.
I did think the hall was darker than I remembered in previous years. Luckily someone found 50p for the meter by dinner time and the lights came on 😂
Here are a few snaps of some of the layouts. North Foreland first, a SR themed BLT.
Cheers, Ade.
