  1. Now that profiles are available for TTS decoders are available, so that you can control these loco’s via the dongle, are Hornby going to do the same for their earlier sound decoders (Loksound) that were released in models that had the XS suffix.
  2. It means that the app will have the correct icon’s and labels for the function buttons for loco’s withs TTS decoders installed. Obviously you cannot load sounds to a TTS decoder or control it via Bluetooth. You will be able to configure loco and then control it thru one of the Dongles to an Elite/Select (or other DCC controllers that implement Xpressnet and have a RJ12 connection)
  3. Problem with this link is that it is for a specifically dated version of the list and is already out of date.
  4. List is first item under profile maps https://uk.Hornby.com/hm7000/hm-dcc-guides there are also all the important docs
  5. Having profiles for the TTS decoders is a great addition.
  6. You would have the class 66 on your app, as long as only the 66 was on the track then no problem. Take the 66 off and out the tank on then you would be controlling the tank from the app but with 66 lights and sounds, but if only the tank is controlled from the DCC system then no problem. But with both 66 and the tank on the track then both of you will be controlling both locos.
  7. You cannot share DCC addresses, unless you are configuring a consist. consider the dongle as a handset connected to your DCC controller. You cannot control two decoders with the same address and expect to use separate handset to control each one.
  8. The dongle is just a dumb device that simply converts the Bluetooth communication to serial as used by xpressnet. It does not record anything about the DCC devices being controlled. The only thing it needs is to be paired with the phone/tablet etc running the app. by the way the club adapter which allows two connections to the same DCC controller is just two sockets wired together, with a single plug. You can plug several of them together so that you can multiple phones/tablets connected to the single DCC controller. The limit is partially down to the amount of power required by the collection of dongles which needs to be provided by the DCC controllers xpressnet port. By DCC controller I mean a Select or Elite, but could be any controller that supports Hornby’s version of the protocol.
  9. Are these arriving soon. Project status predicted delivery in Dec 23 or Jan 24 but also says still in the final stages of production.
  10. At present the app does not handle consists. It does not use the DCC address, either short or long to control the decoders, it uses the decoder name, the HM7000- followed by 4 characters, so cannot currently control two nor more decoders at the same time. you can set the Hst with the same DCC address at both ends and control it using a DCC controller. You should be able to use the app thru a dongle to control it when they become available. Check out CV119 when consisting a train with multiple decoders, HST, IET etc, which can be used to enable sounds at the front of the train only, I.e. horn sound only on the leading loco/driving car.
  11. I am not complaining about the delay, it will just get sent when they can. But putting numbers on the number of days which have no context does annoy. it has always annoyed me that suppliers are sending emails about items shipping when actually what they mean is that the package has been put in the corner to be collected by the courier, this could well be the next working day. So it has not actually physically shipped. Even worse is the notification that an item has shipped but when you read the small print it says that the order has been passed to the warehouse, and then it might not be picked and passed to the courier for a couple of days.
  12. I assume that they are talking working days, but even making that assumption some orders are taking more than 5 days. I have an order placed before the start of business last Friday, so only a couple of hours left of the 6th working day.
  13. Hornby web site says Winter 23-24 so should be Feb.
  14. For the last couple of quarters the schedule was included amongst the Profile Function Lists, in the main HM7000 documentation. it was a downloadable file that you could download and print. this link takes you to a forum entry that is being edited and bumped, and I cannot find any easy way to print it. please put the schedule back in a fixed location that you do not have to search for.
  15. Class 20 would be good, and a 153 DMU. And then there are the GWR steamers.
  16. Don’t see any new profiles announced nor pre-fitted models with new profiles in the 2024 announcement. so it looks like we just have the 14 profiles already scheduled for Q1 and 3 for Q2 with nothing after that. I would think that 14 new profiles in a single quarter is probably more than Hornby can actually manage. (This is based on the 21/2/23 schedule). i was expecting Hornby to announce profiles for new tooling or re-releases of existing tooling but new profile announcements may be part of Hornby additional announcements thru the year.
  17. Class 67 profile has been released, no function list yet. Class 60 and 2MT for OO and both the Class 43 for TT still to come before the end of the year if they stick to the schedule published 4/10.
  18. There are 5 sound profiles scheduled before the end of the year. There are 11 more scheduled for the 1st quarter next year and 3 for the second quarter, split over the two scales TT and OO. Some of those scheduled for the 1st quarter slipped from the previously released schedules, so some could possibly slip again to even out the schedule. The current schedule is available on the Hornby site and is dated 4/10/23. Plus there are updates to many of the existing profiles to bring them up to version 3 or 1.3 depending on which version numbering system they are using. i would suggest that more profiles will be announced in January along with new releases. I don’t think that is stagnation. so far according to the app there are already 31 profiles available in the last 12 months.
  19. It appears that Hornby are a little confused about the manual version, the front page of the latest version says Version 1.3 but every page has a footer which says it is version R1.2.0. Page 2 also says it is 1.3 or 1.3.0. But it does refer to decoder version 1.3.0 not v3 as RAF96 says but that is probably just a matter of interpretation of Hornby version numbering.
  20. New version of the reference manual is now available. It is 36 pages longer than the previous version.
  21. The head code could be a red herring. Invader is sitting at the down end of the up main platform, I.e the opposite side of the station to normal use for trains bound for Paignton. There are a number of situations where this be being used, 1 some sort of disruption and the train has come from Exeter. 2 The train has come from Plymouth and Invaider has run round to head to Paignton. 3 Invaider has come off shed and replaced the loco of a train from Plymouth to change direction. 4 Invaider is shutting extra coaches onto an up train. The coaches may have come from the carriage siding or from an up train from Paignton that arrived in the up branch platform (just in the foreground). If the train had come from Plymouth then why use the up platform and not the down ones to reverse.
  22. If Caroline and Sushila have completed almost 3k then they should be under South Ruislip not West Ruislip, they left West Ruislip back in March. At the current rate they will reach their halfway point next month, their destination being Greenford a total of about 8k.
  23. The TXS sound files have been updated in the last week or two with new features and improvements. It is likely that any model that is being sold with sounds pre-installed has an older version, therefore you will probably be offered the update when you first try to connect the model to the app.
  24. According to the schedule (25/9/23) the sound profiles for the class 37 and Turbomotive in OO were due in Q3 so are now overdue. So should be available shortly. The class 67 in OO and both versions of the class 43 in TT shown as due in Q3 (in the schedule in June) were all rescheduled to Q4.. Other profiles due in Q4 are the class 60 and 2MTin OO.
  25. Is this a single CV or a group for individual sounds. when will the manual be updated to reflect the changes for the newer versions of the profiles. the reference manual is still dated 14/3/23 on the page footers but 14/2/23 on the update table on the last page so I think it is not worth the time looking for updates for the version changes.
