  1. I think that Ben's attitude towards licensing is realistic. There was the recent case of RailNscale in the Netherlands who market a range of 3d printed N scale cars. Some cars in the range were labelled BMW and bore a striking resemblance to BMW cars. These were withdrawn when BMW threatened legal action. In practice just the threat of a court case was enough not to want to fight to keep the BMW labelled items in the range. It could be thought that RailNscale attempted a minor fightback with the single BMW lookalike model left in the range. https://railnscale.com/2018/03/15/car-breakdown/
  2. 92001 had some extra embellishments not found on 92031 including flags on the cab side. Removing those from 92001 and replacing a 0 with a 3 at each number position might be within the skill level of those who want both. Maybe Hornby will make the plainer 92031 for those who must have both EWS maroon locos.
  3. I have received 4 of these today, and they do indeed seem to be in a variety of scales between about 1/140 and 1/160. The painted finish is better than I expected. I’ll put up some photos tomorrow against a rule so people can judge for themselves. They are going to be fine for my use on a Magnorail circuit I have set up for an early post-WW2 theme.
  4. Although we are not privy to the detail of CS’s thinking, it seems they have opted for a linked Mk5 sleeper/ class 92 deal so they have access to models of the whole train which they can possibly market in some form in the future. They may have needed confidence that they would have a high spec 92 for that to work for them. On the plus side the prematurely announced Accurascale/RevolutioN trains announcement has prompted DJM to make two announcements on the Class 92 00 gauge project in a couple of days. Keeping momentum on the Class 92, and possibly attracting more crowdfunders with some spirited marketing, are probably the best routes to delivering the locomotives viably.
  5. Most of the sub-forums for the larger manufacturers have no participation from the manufacturer - Dapol, Bachmann, Farish, Hornby, Oxford Rail. etc.
  6. These small enough for you? https://www.tgauge.com/product/263/7/20-pin-point-axles-and-40-wheels
  7. This ebay seller used to use the seller name "patventout" but has now changed to "N-Voiture". As far as I can tell these are resin castings fully finished. The reason for posting here is that the main complaint I have read is that they are nearer to 1/144 than 1/160, so possibly more useful for British layouts needing a selection of French cars from several eras. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/n-voiture/m.html?item=153362126075&hash=item23b51854fb%3Ag%3Atu0AAOSwqS5b2Cpt&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  8. That was the ultra long range fuel tank for the Class 66.
