  1. At least you have got to the bottom of it, all 9 of my 37’s have the issue. Does the single batch include every 37 you have made to date? Can you explain how the files changed the impedance of the speakers and how new files can correct it? Anybody with a background in electronics knows that the combined impedance of the two speakers is outside the spec of the Loksound. Struggling to see how software can change a hardware issue. I would be interested to reblow my decoders with these files and report back my findings.
  2. Just a quick question regarding the flange squeal. In simple terms, put the loco on the track, press F0 for lights then F1 to fire the engine up......then set off. Should I hear flange squeal on the curves under the above conditions, or do I need to turn F7 on? When I do the above I have no flange squeal, possibly because my radius's are not tight enough?
  3. They were getting put in the post at the beginning of November 🤔
  4. I must be in the silent majority with my 87's, 73's and Hattons 66 as i have not had a single problem with any of them! Like I said, it is to do with continuous running (which you have not confirmed if any of your locos have done around 2 hours worth of continuous running). It is noting to do with gradients, trackwork etc. Just because you don't have an issue, does not mean somebody else does! I have 5 that run perfect. And regarding warranty, Accurascale were notified 4 months ago and i am patiently waiting for the replacement motors.
  5. If all of your Accurascale 37's have ran for a continuous 2 hours (1 hour in each direction) then you are very lucky! If they haven't then I would not be so confident! My normal running in procedure is 1 hour in each direction. I have 8 and out of the eight 3 failed between 90 and 120 minutes worth of running. The other 5 are great. I know several other peoples who failed at around the same running duration. If you have an end to end layout or just do the odd 5 and 10 minutes worth of running here and there, then if there is a fault it will take a lot longer to materialise. I know exactly what the problem is with the motors and I supplied Accurascale with information and photographs months ago. I still have 2 locos sat here waiting for new motors. I purchased them about 4 months ago, ran a couple of hours and failed. For 4 months they have taken on the role of expensive paperweights!
  6. I was just reading the amps in the Z21 app. I don't have an external meter connected. My Loch Lomond and 97 run perfect. They have had a good couple of hours running each with no issues to report. I have another two 37's arriving tomorrow which hopefully will run equally as well. I will be at Camborne on Friday and look forward to meeting someone from the team. Do I need my credit card? lol
  7. Its worth noting that the loco ran fine for the first 30 minutes at a normal amperage level before the amps shot up and it started to slow down before stopping. Once cooled down it did move again, but only slow at a high amperage reading. @Accurascale Fran the model is on its way back to the model shop. They will receive it tomorrow and said they will forward it straight on.
  8. I may have a spare 97! I told the wife to sign up for notifications and to just buy it if one comes available. You guessed it! I forgot to tell her I got one and this afternoon she purchased another sound fitted one!
  9. Out of my 4 Class 37's I have had 2 do this now. I have just posted the second one back today. After about 30 minutes during its running in it started to surge, then slow down and at one point completely stop. It was not a decoder issue as I swapped them between one of my good 37's. What I did notice was the amount of amps the faulty one was drawing. It was drawing around 1.5 amps. My other two 37's only draw around 0.7 amp, clearly a motor problem. It also got very hot! I am hoping that we have just been very unlucky as I have another two arriving tomorrow, with a additional one yet to be posted.
  10. Yes, the decoder I purchased last week is fixed in regard to what you mention, but there is still one slight minor issue. The desk lights are permanently on at both ends as soon as you apply power to the track. F19 will not switch them off. A minor niggle that does not bother me too much........not enough to send it back.
  11. My 'Spirit Of The Lakes' was exactly the same. Purchased DCC ready and then fitted with the Accurascale decoder and speaker. You might also find that the flange squeal does not work even with F11 enabled. Mine is back with Accurascale now.
  12. Hi, I purchased my Accurascale Class 37 as a DCC ready model then purchased the Accurascale Decoder (due to being late with my pre-order and missed out on the factory fitted!). I was experiencing jerky running so I set about tweaking the CV's in the range of 51 - 56. It is now much better, but I was wondering if somebody who has a factory fitted decoder could post their values for CV51 - CV56? It would be interesting to compare them or even try them in my model. Thank you.
  13. Ah ok thank you. I am several weeks away from being able to test this on my own layout and I was just wondering how it worked. Thank you for replying. Looking forward to getting mine up and running now.
  14. Yes, that’s what I was trying to say! My layout when finished will be approx. 100ft for one lap of the layout. I get you can have lots of trains running but I was wondering how you would ‘pick-up’ a loco that was already running when the controller is in the ‘off’ position. I guess that as soon as you selected that one it would come to a stop?
  15. Hi, I have just purchased a Z21 as I am in the process of building my layout. I have it up and running, although just running a loco up and down 2 metres of track! I can’t test this but can you run two locos at once? ie can I set train 1 off, then on the Wlanmaus select train 2 and say do some shunting. Then if I was to stop train 2 then go back to train 1 would it just then stop as the control knob would be in the off position? If I want to have say 4 trains running at the same time, do I need 4 Wlanmaus or phone/tablets?
  16. Hi, Well after a break of around 30 years I am now in a position to build a Model Railway. I am going to build a layout based loosely in the South West from around 2010 onwards, I may go earlier to allow me to run 50's. It will be approx. 30' x 14' and designed to be controlled from a PC, based on a Roco Z21 controller. It will be called 'Hillside Junction'. It will also show what is possible in a new build house (too many trusses lol). I do a lot of 3D printing so expect to see a few 'home made' items! I will document my progress as I go. If anybody is interested in following, this is the page:- Hillside Junction Give it a like! I am sure I will have many questions as I go, the hobby has changed a lot in 30 years. The DCC side is all new to me, so I expect I will be hanging around in those rooms quite a bit. I already have the Z21 and I am just waiting for my first decoder to arrive which will be fitted into a Class 150.
