  1. They’ve given an update on FB about the forthcoming versions. Should be in the shops by summer, they said.
  2. During the past 20 years they’ve made glaring livery errors on just about every Class 50 they’ve produced, which got me wondering… maybe they do it on purpose! Allow me to explain my logic. If they were to offer them as they should be people wouldn’t modify them, but being wrong some of us will try to correct them and a good percentage will go ruined, so we’d have to buy replacements, therefore they’d ultimately sell more. So perhaps its all part of their marketing strategy. I’m probably wrong but just a thought!
  3. Looks like Bachmann/Locomotions news has put an e d to this then. Or Rapido could male the best of the situation and propose a better version featuring both power cars with optional coaches obviously at a better price because the other offering isn’t exactly cheap
  4. Thanks for confirming my suspects. Infact i was thinking about it all night and couldn’t recall ever seeing any before I quit spotting/bashing in 1994. So that makes sense. Guess I’ll pop them on ebay then! Cheers!
  5. Hello everybody, I’ve bought some Bachmann mk1 Super BG coaches in RES livery but in retrospect I think they might be a bit too modern for the period i model (say 1988 - 1993) So I was wondering, I’ve been searching all evening and can’t find anywhere, when were the Super BG’s converted? Thanks in advance

I think that’s already included in the system as it automatically suspends operation whenever there’s a short, even the EZ did that.

Yo, on DC my 59s work well, low speed is satisfactory. But on DCC with the Imperium 1 installed they just zoom off! Light speed! I was using the Bachmann EZ system (which I love for its simplicity) but I was unable to write the CVs so I’ve purchased a Dynamis (which I don’t like at all!) and I’ve reset the chip and manually inserted the CVs to the values on the locomotives instructions. I’ve also had a play with the speed steps ect. If I put CV3 (acceleration) to 15 or greater it starts off nice and slow but within a few feet it progressively reaches quite a speed, all while on power notch one! So that’s really quite unsatisfactory. I have Imperium 1 chips in other locos and they function quite well at low speed (but if they derail on points and short the system they take hours to cool off, during which time the loco remains disabled, which I find a bit frustrating!) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
