Just got this back from John of YouChoos. This is where I got the decoder from. "Some of the newer (smaller) MS and MN decoders are rated for 21V max. If you can set the Z21 track supply to 16V then that would be perfect." I suppose I can alter the voltage using the Z21 Maintenance App or would you just leave as is? Steve

Thanks guys the Z21 app is saying Supply Voltage around 20.0V and VCC voltage around 18.0V So the voltage on the track is around 18V? Ta!

Hello, I have a black Z21 command station which is powering a small railway test layout TT120. When I use a voltmeter on the tracks I am getting a reading of just around 8.28 AC which seems rather low? Can anyone throw some light on this for me. I am running a TT120 William Whitelaw and Mallard loco on it OK but want to run a TT120 08 shunter with a Zimo MS490N 6 Pin Mini Sound Decoder in it. Only I don't want to damage this decoder in any way. best, Steve this is my test layout

Well, I'm not like you Iain mate, I'd rather encourage people and go the extra mile to be of help rather than discourage them and for them to say blow it. I don't deem myself to be in a position to tell others to trawl through a long document that could be made easier to comprehend. Everyone has their own way of learning. I like others, prefer to watch videos and ask on forums. I don’t neglect to look at manuals as well but as I say I learn better as mentioned. There are many good people on forums who have preceded along the same path who are only too eager to help and pass on their wealth of information and vast experience. Hi Iain I was told something but it wasn’t clear how to do it I’ve tried clicking on various items to no avail. You have told me to go thru a very long list of shortcuts without giving me an idea of just what I’m looking for in that list. Yes, it’s very clear to you just what to do you’ve been doing it for years. I could try everything on that list just to find a needle in a haystack maybe. I don’t need this at this time all I need is someone with the kindness to give me an easy answer as how to simply remove a loco from a display. If iTrain was intuitive I wouldn’t need to do this. Then I can move onto the next step and carry on enjoying developing my layout. I’m sorry but I just do not agree with your hardline methodology. All the best, Steve

As you can see my test track has 3 ovals and a siding. Do I need to set up Track Routes in iTrain or can I just set up the Feedbacks/occupancy? and blocks? There's one feedback in each oval and one in the sidings.

I didn't close and restart but they are working now with the correct addresses the only thing is some are showing open in iTrain but on the test track they are closed. How do i alter this? I think I may have cracked it thanks! I've swopped outputs!
