  1. Ohhh ok. Got another image here. Still very unclear.
  2. Hi. Doing a spot of coach detailing, and cant make out whats written below the word smoking, and to the left of the set number. Oh, its a quad art set. Ps. Also.....how big were those smoking signs? Anyone got any ideas? Many thanks.
  3. Is it just me, or does it sound mad that people are discussing all the ways they intend to improve their rtr model, even gojng so far as a whole new body?😳 This is surreal in the extreme.
  4. I note with a minimal amount of surprise, that my decision to not hang around awaiting the the undoubted howlers of KRs ephemeral WD 2-10-0 are once again fully justified...
  5. As I've mentioned before, I've gone with the alternative for a few reasons. "Getting it right" was mentioned above. I totally get rule one etc and the whole fun thing, but "getting it right" doesn't appear to be a primary concern here. Are we going to see a dubdee in Large Logo? Frankly it wouldn't surprise me given the other offerings, which brings me to point 2. Crowdfunding is a poor business model, and from what I can see, they are running rampant with it. I could of course be mistaken, but I suspect that pre orders for the dubdee will pay for a previously announced model. There are a lot of as yet unreleased items in his catalogue. I've fallen foul of crowdfunding before and lost everything. Point 3. That picture. Is it meant to be a 5 pole brushless motor? Really?? Coming hot on the heels of "BR didn't run them', this is worrying. Have they been so innovative that they've invented an impossible motor? Also, thats a pretty bog standard looking can. How did his engineers not know this? This is basic stuff here. It does not bode well. Point 4. If they have been on this for over a year, where are the CADs? The announcement with the you tuber was underwhelming at best. I'm sorry, but this smacks to me of a grab for cash to pay backwards for other projects. To pay for the dubdee? Look out for future announcements.
  6. Saw one of these at the weekend. Beautiful looking model. Think I may treat myself😊
  7. Going for the EC one myself. Adding VAT in brings the price closer to parity, and I'm afraid for me at least, smoke is a gimmick. You can't scale the stuff properly, so to me it always looks a bit silly. I saw the EC 3d printed example on the stand at Warley, and the staff there were very helpful. Also, no upfront cost on pre orders. No expectation to pay way before you even see cads, let alone an EP or the real thing. So for those reasons, I'm out.
  8. So I could probably get away with one popping in for a cuppa, er..so to speak. I do get "rule one" I really do, but it's just not for me..
