    Interesting as a set of Pullman cars I've got has been continuously been on several layouts over the last 50 years, all purchased at the same time, 3 belong to the barnstaple set. Once they all were the same shade, now all different, some got lighter some got darker, one or two have different shades each side. All have been in darken rooms no sunlight, but assume even natural light fades them, also wonder if LED light has any effect as noticed it's more prominent recently or it could just be age at 56 years

    Final result, painted using dark grey humbrol 67 by hand took over an hour but given a slight weathered look view showing top rail and under the travelling mechanism

    Two halves having been built are added together, width of the gantry is exactly same as OO track as the gantry crane will use old 3 rail wheels Completed model before painting scrap lineside hut used to cover gantry mechanism

    Airfix gantry crane parts with an extra centre part from footbridge

    Decided to scratch build using the airfix signal gantry and airfix dockside crane as base with some scratch build girders. A basic card template was drawn up

    In need of a LMS type gantry crane 3 or 4 road, the ratio model is too heavy and doesn't reach or modify for 4 roads, there is an excellent picture of one in HD volume 3

    Quite a few models I purchased in this era, however never really liked the tender drive motors, squealing noise brings to mind plus stalling on points
