The ivy looks great, if you're modelling spring time, you'll need whitish blossom on the brambles as well. 37Oban beat me to it. -

Two goldfish in a tank, first one said "I'll drive ". Anyway, had a wander along the Cinder track yesterday, to have a look at the Larpool viaduct, it's very impressive. -
This is a section of baseboard that I haven't used, it's 12mm ply on a frame of treated fence rail. It had a couple of coats of wood preservative, the felt was stuck on with bitumen felt adhesive and held in place with galvanised staples. It's been laid behind the shed for the last 4 years and is showing no signs of any rot or damage. I reckon the bottom of the treated timber posts and metal spikes will go first, and they're usually good for 20 years. I also used some 6mm plywood coated in yacht varnish for a station platform, it lasted about 2 years. It's all about exposure, plywood will last a long time if you can keep the elements out.

I've got some Peco code 100 flexi that's been in the garden for nearly 30 years. -
@ Derek 19b, just noticed your location, we've been staying in Paphos for the last week, near the tombs of the King's. Thanks for the information.

I stand corrected, I stumbled upon those track remains at Nea Paphos. I'd read that Cyprus doesn't have a working railway. Where abouts is that, and is it still in use?

Possibly The Northern Echo. Lack of free newspapers mean I have to beg or rummage in people's blue bins to get enough to light the fire, can't afford to use them for modelling nowadays. -
It's so rare he's got 2 for sale.
