  1. 46 has 47 to go at and 43 there was 215 last time i looked. I have 46 with sound as i have seen it pulling freight in the flesh.Strange the difference in popularity. The choice is yours but if you need both start with 46 while they have some to replace a duffer.
  2. im sure Martin has done settings on his to improve the running, might be worth looking on his page or asking on his you tube page about this https://loco-updates.uk/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCIrQhTFz8Y0oJ5lyN99m_g
  3. Its over 6 months since i did this and its ran for days on the rolling road and once there was enough loft floor in to put a large loop up its ran for days up there, only issue i can recall was it was not picking up from one of the bogies but that was months ago, ironically ive just been trying the last few months batch i have bought and 66418 is the only one ive had as a no go,like me the lights are on but theres no movement...............
  4. I guess its what your happy with doing, you tube has loads on about removing and reattaching them.its a nice feature and if you want it just like the real thing they need to run perfectly true. Most seem happy just removing and glue it shortened back into the bogie detail.I reaxled one as a prototype and re engineered the axle end so the detail goes into a metal detail and its ran for probably 1000 hours with no issue whatsoever but its a lot of work and i am too busy at the moment to amend and do more of my fleet. Remove them and try it without them first if it is badly wobbling. The best ones ive seen are the pre owned ones i bought to have as parts donors yet they run flawless.
  5. I stand corrected then,is it an Imperial or Metric thousand though,
  6. Ironically its 66301 and its done in DRS by Hattons.i doubt theres thousands but just a nice looking livery.
  7. Well this last few weeks just proves if Carlesberg made model railway items they would be called Accurascale. These look great, well done you guys, thanks for all your hard work.
  8. A Fastline version would have been nice to have seen in the Hattons range as it would have had wagons to run from Accurascale soon.
  9. Would be nice if Hattons actually gave some sign as to the future for this model,as i doubt it will be modifed in any way to run the axle ends true as its selling out and has made them money as it stands,66746 was sold out and then 50 are restocked from somewhere as has others over the last few months,so they seem to have the ability to get small numbers from somewhere. Its not ready to run and by the look of it most have cut and glued the axle end feature, with work its a great model but would be nice if they were more like Accurascale and kept there buying public in the loop.its more of a team effort with them guys and its paid big dividends with us for them.
  10. Or Ireland eh,with bridges and tunnels on the drawing board, would be nice to see,be the Ebac of the model railway world.
  11. Thanks for the good news McC,i think i would speak for all in the hobby in just saying Thanks to all you guys for making your company the benchmark of how it should be done, it seems more like a joint effort with your customer base once models announced, stay safe and keep up doing what you do so well. I had better get on with my loft....... regards Eric
  12. Looking forward to these, any sign of them being beamed into your cargo bay from the ship or are they still in quarantine??
  13. Anyone got 66740 Sarah,or more has theres got nameplates on it, or are they all missing the nameplate? The full priced 66756 is down to eleven in stock now so the last Europorte livery will be gone soon.
  14. Hopefully with the guy hanging off the door eh,the past was a great time to live was it not....he might be in the detail bag.
  15. heres 66587 0n Mendip stoneat 30 mins in,this chap puts loads of Mendip suff on so great for reserch so give him a sub and like as its not my content but check out his playlist as theres years of stuff there. If you want 66957 be quick as its next to sell out........now at 10 in stock and yes the orange on 66623 is wrong. All the issues on these are fixable so dont be put off and miss out.
  16. Its us the buying public thats the issue,We were the workshop of the world, how well it could be made was important, now its how cheap can we have it,it was made to last and not to a price, media hype has got a generation that has never known how well onto the look what you get for so little, you get nothing worth having for nothing but in real terms we are getting very little for a lot if it only last a few years and needs thrown away, churning out anything is only good for those selling it,and now we are so environmentaly conscious no good either, just hope the di cast chassis does not dissolve in a few years eh,but it is what it is,skilled is replaced with qualified,i know where i would prefere to be. What started as childs toy is now pretty good as we got older and proved we could play safely with electric other than clockwork trains.......
  17. Heres the British Steel wagons in long rakes at Margam and a Yeoman 59 with a rake of them, not my content so give him a like as he posts some great railway video.
  18. Its the expense of buying 12 Hattons 66,s when 4 of these should do the trick, modern image is so popular so i hope they bring us some up to date G&W and 59003 in GBRF with the initial batch, only 4 axle ends to get right on these too, they have had six years or so to get it correct so it should be a step up in modern diesel models hopefully
  19. Fixed properly it runs great,it looks the part and pulls and sounds the mutts nuts with the full package, since this is Hattons thread you would think there would be the odd comment other than buy our products on you tube,if i was not up to reaxleing these i would still buy them over the Bachmann one as its way beyond that.If you cannot remove the axle box cap and shorten it ,pop it back with a dot of glue then you should not have electric trains, some of the stuff on these is way out of proportion. Its a good model that can be made great with a little work.
  20. Martin, this page has probably got what your looking for,and other models,by the picture you are axleboxing it with Hattons bits too.........Frankensteins 66 if you go down that route. http://s374444733.websitehome.co.uk/class-66-new/index.htm hope this helps out. regards Eric
  21. Heres a rake toward the end of the video with some still Fast Line visable,Mikes you tube stuff is great for freight flows so give him a like.
  22. Looking at the Mendip stone trains now anything with wheels on gets filled with stone, theres all sorts mixed in rakes,if you were heading to London and left your boot open it would be filled with stone........makes for interesting modelling.
  23. so are these VTG ones around today or are they gone for the modern image modeller?
  24. If Carlsberg did model railways they would be Accurascale, these will go down well........
