  1. what's the retail price of them because if I'm correct i may not be would accurascales be quiet a difference in price as in lower.
  2. maybe the class 73 that's gone very quiet, i would like them to produce a class 40 actually to there standard
  3. yes i have decided to hold off its a bit cruel to myself not been able to use all the functions of the 24 when it arrives but im also not going to blow a substantial sum on something i don't like, although i was inclined to hand held like dynamis I'm quiet liking some of the control based systems but again i will wait till i can hold/see one at least see how one operates so i can have a proper idea, as much as YouTube is great its not the real thing.
  4. i do apologise with the response, I am not answering this when you know nothing of my condition, the fact when i do have one on i constantly have to take it off and put back on. so to avoid the arguments iv already faced from people i am not replying to that comment as its tiering complicated and every time i have explained it no one cares anyway as its different to what they want to hear and wrong in there eyes even if it is justified with health care professionals
  5. i was referencing the lanyard not a mask although when visiting the hospital i do wear a mask.
  6. even on facebook I never justified assault on the staff at all, i can understand the frustration of people but as has been said these people are probably not exempt at all. i refused to wear one for a long time because apart from my walking stick there is no visual reference to my health and like to keep it that way but decided best to wear one. I'm just glad on here I'm not been brandished "ignorant, stupid, liar" as on facebook hence my leaving the group mentioned although i doubt anyone will care cos i know i don't haha plenty of there pics on my newsfeed to look at hahahaha.
  7. ok ok ok slow down a little guys when someone is wearing a lanyard and visually is struggling there is a diffrence i haven't mentioned reminding about mask so lets stop there before it gets taken out of context all over again. i have simply mentioned if someone has a GENUINE REASON and you refuse entry on that basis it doesn't look good and its no wonder people have the same opinion as myself with the same attitude to outcome of not causing trouble but just not going again.
  8. it was a observation i made not a statement, i don't claim to know you personally or anyone who works for you, but the whole situation does come across that way certainly with the comments that where made not by yourself but patrons to the shop (claimed to be anyway) kind of puts you off going again. i hope i do get to visit yourself again as i was greatly impressed by the shop but as said previously its left a very bitter taste. i apologise if you have found insult in what iv said im simply giving my opinion on what i know and have seen. i do wish you all the best and certainly do not deserve the abuse you have received i want to clear i have not condoned that behaviour BUT the same as with ANY shop who takes this action of picking and choosing customers (because that is how i and many others have taken it) isn't fair because at the end of the day the simple fact is the whole situation on masks ect are just dividing the UK even more than it already is. this isn't the only situation where the few (well more than normal admittedly) are spoiling it for the majority who do have a reason, as i say its all opinion and not a direct attack at your self's. i myself before my health issues also supported our local disabled children's youth club (which i attended as a child for a none linked issue) before and as silly as it sounds more so since my major life changes, and i applaud you for the help you have given as its well needed but with the discrimination that was already present before covid but since it has become a lot lot worse.
  9. i agree its a difficult one but in all honesty how many people will now decide no i wont bother anymore, i may well give the shop another go in future but in all honesty not just with this but 53a as well its making me very bitter towards shops in general, when you are exempt for a real reason due to reasons that are no one else's business in all honesty (i have been very open about mine) but a lot of people don't feel comferterble talking about it. i will quiet happily discuss my condition but some issues linked with it to which I am exempt are quiet personal so wont tell you cos it isn't needed. i honestly think shops don't need to jump on this picking and choosing of customers who are exempt its bad enough the abuse we get from normal people in shops. this argument reminds me of the flailing and bellowing problem, people who just wane see and listen had it spoilt by so called "bashers" and i am equally as guilty for it flailing about out of windows. as i have said i wish them every good will for now and after the pandemic but it has once again left another very bitter taste in my mouth, and in honesty when it came to abuse from people towards someone who IS DISABLED is disgusting as i say i will keep to the words of my health care people and not some assumingly qualified social media expert.
  10. thats fine and must be a double, my user is LWnameplates the LW meaning Liam White haha so feel sorry for the guy looking like me. im affraid in reply to widness as much as i agree with the actions you have taken well did take we all locked down now haha, but how can you put you're hand on you're heart and say these people ARE NOT EXEMPT I'm not been funny surely that opens up for problems i didn't realise model shop owners where medical profesionals hence the lanyard showing HIDDEN disabilities. as said on Facebook I walk with a stick but that's the only real sign the rest you cant see (same condition that prevents me walking correctly but i do agree its difficult when we know people are taking the p**s but again you cant tar everyone with the same brush. i think this is a situation that no one is wrong (apart from those choosing physical and verbal abuse towards the staff). as i say in my opinion having a genuine need to not having one on, if i was interrogated and told i still need to wear one with the intention of spending money as said i would turn away and not visit again. i have already done it to a shop in hull recently lossing over £600 of custom in one move, to me turning any money down is bad business. as i say after the abuse and cross interrogation i got off customers of wmc and the wording and attitude towards genuinely disabled people from the shop in the statement, i have visited the store before a while ago when i lived in Elsmere port and when moving to Blackpool i would have visited again but certainly am unsure after what i have seen. this is not a dig at the shop at all simply my opinion not as i say i invite for abuse.
  11. same thread but not my comment mine where removed.
  12. I mentioned my own health issues and after speaking with specialists came to agreement it was doing my physical and mental health no benefit, even after one person admitted they knew nothing about said health in the next comment i was wrong and that i could wear one. as i say i do not condone the behaviour towards the staff at the shop at all no one deserves that but letting one in and not the other is blatant discrimination in mine and many others eyes and can see frustrations of people and personally feel this could have been avoided by taking the mentioned methods from day 1. again personally after reading said article and how the locals to the shop have reacted towards myself i certainly wont visit this shop in future and have once previously visited on my travels and would have again but after all this and i wouldn't spend my money again there, i had a encounter at 53A in hull and came to the exact same conclusion although i did just say fine turned around and walked slowly with a hobble away haha. again before anyone jumps down my neck this is certainly not a personal attack on the shop but the same view i have to any shop. iv said my piece and wish the shop every good wish but i just couldn't hold my tong, I just hope people understand my view rather than causing a argument.
  13. i will keep my opinion after been brandished a liar and getting abuse though pm on a certain model railway social media site, i feel very sorry for the actions that some have take against the shop owners its discusting but anyother comments i shall keep to myself.
  14. taking advice from people on rmweb iv found clear Perspex (toy packing ect) and painted them with acrylic yellow in coats depending on each loco my western could do with a few more coats but it does me, i have left the 68 alone as they have LEDs anyway so actually they aint wrong really.
  15. well i must admit have a lot to get my head around thought this whole dcc malarkey was easier than DC hahaha. i think for now i will stick with my dynamis and when me and the wife get moved whenever that will be look again hopefully not in a global pandemic and try a few. one thing i have learnt is how much things have changed since i was into dcc in it early days.
  16. someone may be able to correct me but im sure i read somewhere on here (two days to read all 93 pages) that they where doing the versions they haven't done before any reruns? i would be up for D5061 as is now.
  17. so iv held off and held off but no my bank has taken a battering may have accidentally got 4 scotrail blue and grey mk1s, so the only polite thing i could do is not ask for a refund on said coaches but just accidentally get the sound blue tops number to compliment. does anyone else have the same issues haha
  18. hi thanks for the reply, when i say one handed i mean sort of i can walk around with it ect not litteral one handed haha. i have decided to use dc for point and signals (i find wiring relaxing) so plan to use a old dc controller so the unit wouldn't be used for points ect. in all honest im not the biggest dcc fan but the lure of sound 37s tempts me to much even more so now i struggle to see the real things due to my health. so my use for the handset would be for locos only adding accessories would just confuse me. as i say the biggest reason for upgrade is simply wanting the extra function buttons otherwise i would have stuck with my dynamis.
  19. cheers for that they are systems i haven't heard off (hence why i asked you're opinion). i would normally have gone and pestered a model shop to have a look and feel of controllers but as you say its difficult to do in the current climate, the big seller for me is functions i am wanting one that will cover the 28 on the SLW class 24. having used dynamis forever i want to venture away from Bachmann as much as there system i like it just never has sat right having it in my hands, i prefer a more one handed approach
  20. i like you're honesty, out of interest if you where to buy a brand new system what would you go for?
  21. yeh i looked on there website and no doubt what they are doing is cleaver and a high end way of doing it but a little out my expertise, if it takes more than soldering two wires together i get lost haha. but i take my hat off to anyone taking that route on.
  22. just had a quick google and that looks WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY to over my head haha
  23. that is handy to know, my biggest worry is the problem with the NCE system not having short protection and blowing chips or something along them lines. i may sound stupid here what is the MERG system? cheers liam
