Joseph the L&YR lover

So, I've been looking around at pre-grouping 2-4-0's and 4-4-0's and have found the ratio kits. I would like to get one to go with my Class 28 dressed up as a Lanky engine (know it's not accurate but I think it would look nice) but it seems that the chassis aren't that good. I know there was a new chassis made in the 80's but I haven't seen any around. Does anyone know an easy way for a yank to get them or should I just try to machine it myself?
