  1. These are the tools I used to scribe all the main brickwork. The window headers are bricks I cast myself.
  2. Thanks and yes. Bricks scribed on 5mm foam core board after soaking off the paper outer.
  3. These past couple of weeks we've been building brick walls. Right now laying the header bricks in the window openings. Then will make a start on the sash window frames, that should be fun.
  4. I remember it well. I was at Silverstone in 1990, a great race but not the result he wanted. I think that was the one he through is gloves out of the pram.
  5. What if... Mercedes are back at the top this year and Lewis wins his 8th title. Whereas Ferrari are fighting for scraps. Does Lewis still want to/have to move to Ferrari? Is the ink dry on his new contract? 😀
  6. Looking great Jay. Looking forward to seeing this at SWAG.
  7. When I retired in 2016 my wife suggested I install a garden home/office for all my hobbies. I spent a fair amount of time researching several manufacturers. But in the end I decided against it for all the above reasons. By the time you get it perfect for your needs, it will have cost a great deal more than what it says on the tin.
  8. It's been a while since my last post on here. Introducing the first of many buildings on Bovey Quay. Starting with a simple card mock up of the 'Golden Cod' loosely based on the 'Fat Pig' in Exeter and the 'Golden Fleece' in York. I hear they serve some very decent cask ales and apparently the fish & chips is pretty damn good too. Can't wait for it to open!
  9. I really like the mono version it has a silverpoint print quality.
  10. Not a Claud Butler but a Raleigh Grand Sport with GB brakes and Campag' gears. Best bike I've ever owned should have kept it.
  11. It's been said on this forum many times that a layout is never truly finished. In fact many never do get finished like the last two, Kanator and Bovey Tor. But I'm very pleased to announce that yesterday 'Bodmin Moor' was signed off by the quality controller as DONE! So I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support. And if you're able to get to SWAG in April, it will be great to meet y'all. And now we'll be heading straight back to 'Bovey Quay' my Brixham-ish layout and I hope you'll all join me on that journey. Cheers!
  12. The exact same thing happened here yesterday. One of the Fox transfers decided to come unstuck after I coated the wagon with matt varnish. It was only after I posted it that I noticed it. 😀
  13. Bodmin Moor is booked for 4 or 5 shows this year. And SWAG is first on the list, hope to see you there, weather permitting.
  14. Thanks Pete. The sides are made with a batter and a very slight curved, gradual slope.
  15. After the rain comes sun.
  16. Three Times A Lady – The Commodores
  17. See it, Say it, Sorted.
  18. Simple error, simple fix.
  19. Thanks Phil. This is my first ever attempt at weathering. I watched several videos and read a couple of books then just dived in. Quite pleased with how they turned out.
