  1. I do sympathise Graham, it's always sad to leave somewhere you've made home. And even though you were starting to think seriously about CRII, it's the circumstances really. Back in 2022 once I'd decided I needed a fresh start, I had to scrap Bovey Tor which was well on the way. Also the backscene was pretty much stuck to the wall so had to scrap that too. As others have said, it will be a new beginning in lots of ways and I'm sure it will work out.
  2. Blue Velvet – Bobby Vinton
  3. Thanks to everyone who took part in the survey. I asked the question because I think they both work in their own way. The trees have brass rod in the bases which is plugged into brass tubing, so it's easy enough to swap them around as the mood takes me.
  4. Many thanks for that, it looks like the B's have it. I'll just go get my chainsaw, be right back. 😀
  5. Sometimes it's hard to be objective. Which one works better do you think, A or B?
  6. Once in a Lifetime – Talking Heads
  7. On Bovey Tor I used normal and bendy 6mm MDF for the backscene. And then plastered between the joins.
  8. Many thanks to all of you! I really appreciate your support.
  9. Once the clouds are done I'll be adding some distant hills/fields on the extreme left hand side and in the middle as you can see in the reference.
  10. Thanks very much. Oil paint isn't inherently matt, but you can apply a matt varnish afterwards. I've still got a few colour glazes to apply before that.
  11. And here's the drone's view of Bodmin Moor.
  12. We're nearly there now, apart from a few more small details. And a bit more to do on the backscene but I think it's getting there now.
  13. ...blink and you'll miss it.
