  1. Hi Rob. On the couplings I have been using Sprate & Winkle on Hounslow Sidings and I have found that they well in 4mm scale. I don't paint mine I use brass blackening, I make them up then put the blackening on befoer fixing to rolling stock. Hope that helps Ray.
  2. The PDK kit King Arthur has a resin boiler etched brass and lose wax and white metal parts. I made a start on this the other day and started on the tender. Todays work on the King Arthur 30745 Tintagel. The tank was just a flat sheet of brass I have to bend the corners and make sure the sides are the same size then soldered to the running plate then bend out the the top to approx 30 degrees, then solder the front in place.the next was to bend the top to shape and solder in place.
  3. Sorry about the bad luck, hope you got it back on track (sorry for the pun). It always happens in threes.

  11. I used sticky back plastic on Hounslow Sidings, I think it does not give a sharp image.
  12. I have that if you look directly in front of the Bridge it would ok. I don't know how the mirror would pick out the buffer when you look at it at an angle. As mark said can you put a tree there or paint a tree on the mirror before putting the mirror in place.
  13. The bridges look good. The mirror in the third photo you can see the buffer stops in the mirror and the buffer stop is behind the bridge wall. It is the angle of the camera, I have the same problem with my Hounslow Sidings with the station building it appears the show what behind the wall.
