  1. Love it. Even down to the tumble weed in the middle of the track.
  2. Lovely modelling. Congrats with the new job too and give my regards to the cat.
  3. My condolences. Thinking of his family and friends at this time.
  4. I’ve just checked too and it isn’t there. Might have sold out due to lockdown DIY etc. Might be worth keeping an eye open for it.
  5. Bought some leaded stuff from screwfix a few weeks ago. I agree, the unleaded doesn't flow as well, it's like spreading soft butter. Any advice appreciated on it's use.
  6. Firstly, I'm very sorry to hear you've been made redundant. For information, my wife has been made redundant twice. Both times she's rang/walked into Pertempts. They have found her a job within a week. Even after been made redundant very recently. She's now working again. Okay, the pay isn't the same, but beggars can't be choosers. She's back in work and mixing with great people at the post office. Fingers crossed for you and see this as an opportunity rather than a set back. Best of luck.
  7. Same book. there are quite a few piccys from the same author.
  8. Another one here, number 20 mentions Park Rd and the City.
  9. I founds this on flickr, I don't know Liverpool, but I hope it helps in some way.
  10. Thomas Peckett was apparently a distant blood relative of mine on my grandfathers side of the family. Hopefully he'll be "chuffed" to bits with this latest Hornby addition.
  11. Can I add, all the best for the surgery too Ken. Not been around on here myself for a while, but as my own dad had heart surgery last year, your nearest and dearest will be needing lots of TLC too.
  12. A nice song to listen to on the way to work on a Monday morning.
  13. "my motivation was to build, then crack open a beer and watch the trains go by" Great quote, great looking layout.... you've summed up what this hobby is all about.
  14. Oh.. and I took your advice and sussed the firebox, but I didn't use solder for the front I used a block of brass. This is currently blue tacked in place until I find a way of attaching it. Thank you. Apologies for the poor quality picture.
