I’ve used numerous products over the years and have now settled on using the brown wash by VALEJO. If you live ion the North UK then Boyes stock it or you can use Agra’s Earthshade by CITADEL -
Is anybody else having issues with new Farish N gauge locos. Earlier this year took delivery of 66111. While running it in on DC it suddenly starting slipping driving from only 1 bogie. Returned the loco to Farish to be told that they'd replaced a broken drive shaft and power bogie. Running in again on DC and he presto exactly the same thing happened again. This time to the other bogie. Yesterday I took delivery of two brand new Class 20's. Ran them both in on DC. Fitted the chips. Both worked fine. 10 minuted of running and one is now dead. Lights work but nothing else. Tried it back on DC ..... dead As far as I'm concerned this shouldn't be happening to new locos. They're not cheap and it's very disheartening when this keeps happening. It's not just Farish either. Both my Class 56's had to be returned to Dapol with blown LED's.

I have two brand new 56's. 56001 & 56022. Ran in on DC. Everything works fine. Inserted DCC decoders, programmed on track. Directional lights don't work on either loco. Tried on DC ...... don't work on DC now. Sent off to DCC Supplies for repair. I wait in anticipation
