  1. It does, but the only thing I would say is that, whether its the colours off the photo or its actual paint, it would look even more glorious with the Midland Railway deep crimson lake. But as I said, perhaps because its Christmas, bring on the red engines...
  2. Oooh, don't know, but its not MR...
  3. I'm not bothered who produces them, we/the market just needs more crimson locos, don't you agree?
  4. That's what I was told when I phoned Saturday and mine (Nov 5) was now being processed. I'm that panicky that I've secured 2 red ones from different sources at the same price, and the other one has been in the post for a week now. Which begs the question, has this been a sell out product, I've never been involved in a new release scramble before. Or is it that the red one is so achingly attractive that they need to bring out more red ones, Precedent notwithstanding.
  5. So goods trains have been worked, although wrong place and wrong era. Still think it will sit there, simmering and looking pretty spurring me on to get some arc roofed and 6 wheel clerestory carriages built!
  6. Way too ambitious, I'm local passenger into and out of East Lancashire via Skipton...
  7. So, little chance outside of Rule 1 for the red one to be involved in any other traffic beyond local and branch passenger pre-WW1? I have loads of MR goods wagons, including vacuum fitted and through piped, but have not yet built my carriage kits. It might just have to sit there for now simmering in the bay platform.
  8. Oh, well I paid by card over a month ago, got email notification and it's sitting there in my account as order pending. Still nervous though. Perhaps as you said you hadn't dealt with Rails before, their email went to spam? Anyway, squeaky bum time for us all.
  9. If you didn't receive an email confirmation from Rails AFTER inputting your card details, you're probably unlikely to have pre-ordered. Just sayin'...
  10. As ever, superb forensic work, Victorian detective, you could certainly have been...
  11. Also, checkout pharmacy2u.co.uk, free to me, interfaces with my surgery for prescription renewals. I've heard Lloyds in my area has started charging £5 per delivery. App, internet and 0800 phone number.
  12. Poor connection at time of loading? It's not been overlaid with style sheet. Clear browser cache, look it up on Google for your specific browser, then reload.
  13. Interesting, as the rest of the "Foreign Wagons" threads is. Oh for a time machine, but what you say makes a lot of sense in the context of the times and in light of such an agreement.
  14. No, Stephen, that's just fine for me; key is your comment "I don't believe it involved pooling of goods stations or rolling stock....". I have a large collection of MR and now significant L&YR goods stock with just a couple of LNWR wagons in my north of England setup, and so it shall remain. Thanks.
  15. I popped a single line contribution in the excellent ""Foreign" wagons - How many would you see?" thread I've been closely following when I saw "..inter-company working agreements - notably LNW / Midland of 1908 onwards" referenced but got no response, so is there anyone that can give me an outline of what this entailed? References on Google but only pointing to specialist Journals. Cheers.
  16. Have we just lost "Ignore Topics" feature with this mornings upgrade? Mine are all back.
  17. And blow me, just scanning eBay tonight and there's the exact part at half the listed price, must go out and get a lottery ticket....
  18. I recall my original kit from 40 years ago was Wills, it had a Belpaire boiler and I paid someone at the time to retro-adjust to the original round top, including sourcing the safety valve. @PenrithBeacon, found it thanks, and will order. @Compound2632, all I wanted was the part name and source and I end up with a whole lot of extra knowledge as I often do from your posts, fascinating. Cheers all.
  19. I have a fully built model of the above but in 40 years of storage, the part indicated in the photo has been lost. Can someone give me a name for it and, even better, where I could source a 4mm replacement? Thanks in anticipation.
