  1. Probably 'improved' it's quality if truth be told.
  2. You would have been able to swop ' how I got the end of my finger cut off' stories with someone of this parish when you met up if you had.
  3. Don't worry I'll remind you every so often by getting Bear to mention the fact that I'm on it as well.
  4. I'm a tad concerned. I like to be able to see the panniers if for nothing else to make sure there not up to trouble. It's when you can't see them that I start to worry.
  5. Don't want to pour water on your celebrations but don't you think they could have at least got the colour of the cake decoration correct.
  6. So how many tonnes will Sir require and are you paying by card or cash.
  7. Slim line tonic water does that count.
  8. Look will you stop trying to get us to play the sympathy card. When it all boils down, it's your own fault. You put your hoof/trotter/? - what precisely do hippos walk on, somewhere it shouldn't have been and your now paying the price. So suck it up and be a big hippo. Yours from Manutopea, still without a shed. P.s - and no Hippos don't walk on water before you suggest it.
  9. Plotting behind the Engine Shed.
  10. I thought they just sent them 'abroad' - take your pick of destinations.
  11. Personally I blame the Hippo and Bear for eating it.
  12. Look I told you it's because there's not enough cake to slow it down.
  13. Is that -bring the cherry brandy we're going to advance.
  14. You see that's the problem there's not enough cake to stop the elastic band from it's continuing expansion.
  15. But of course not. They don't want a Hippo running amuke in the corridors of a place of healing do they. Speaking of uncomfy chairs I think I might have to get the armchairs reupholstered as after an hour my derriere starts to feel very stiff.
  16. Been there done that. Isn't it nice to know that things are at least consistent with one thing in your life - train operators being carp.
  17. Being a Hippo isn't complaining about 'fresh country air' a bit like calling a kettle black.
  18. No accounting for taste.
  19. Oh we're not that behind the times here in Manutopea. We have that new fangled invention eletrickery now and now that they've miniaturised the valves for the radiogram we'll going to have one in every room.
  20. I think I preferred the pigs.
  21. I hope you got a nice bono biscuit and a fresh bowl of water afterwards.
  22. Fortunately it wasn't them. Stop using them when it took them four attempts to test my eyes- took them six months to repair/find an operator for a piece of equipment. Now go direct to a chap who grinds the lenses. Saved a fortune in not having to buy 'designer' frames each time.
  23. Clearly before my time as when I attended they were green with purple lettering, but I suppose each generation likes to discover 'old things' either that or there was an offer on for green labels.
  24. Personal experience or you know someone whose second cousin was on talking terms with the janitorial staff at the said establishment?
