And you could do a fifth one, favourite preserved coach, assuming they don't count as coaches in current service!
-
-

This is looking really good. Keep up the good work. Cheers David -
Afraid to admit my railway knowledge pretty much ends at the line between Bristol and London . All things North of their I am ok , getting better as we head further north! So not qualified to take part in this one

Steve That really looks the part, just the way I remember. You really have chosen a great time frame, 27 push pulls and 47 shove duffs, class 37 on the WHL workings plus all those dmus. With sound as well you will end up with a superb model.

It was only a matter of time before this happened! In time I think I will run in mid late seventies as if the station had not changed, as well as the 50's/60's. Well I did say I would sneak in a 27 push pull when you weren't looking!

The catchpoint in the middle road has two lead offs one each side. I want to try and capture the look of that. I dont need it to work, just look the part. The other picture is of the five platform roads where they span Queen Street Lower

Yes I am happy with the overall look, seems to capture the character I am looking for

A little more progress in the tracklaying department. I put out the Queen of Scots pullman at its departure platform just too see how it looks!
-
I quite liked them especially the compartment coaches. Not enough luggage space though!

Another thought, best HST livery, there have been plenty of them
-
We could finish off the livery question by best (or worst) 1948 experimental livery on a particular locomotive. I do remember an ex LMS loco painted in Apple green which was ? Well interesting!

I am going to go with maroon as applied to Westerns and Warships

I have just been in contact with some friends in Wengen. Restaurants, hairdressers and shops are all open, though with some restrictions. Cable cars are operating. They say the village is coming back to life. All we need to do now is figure out how to get there! In the meantime here is a picture to give us cheer

This bit is all double track now as is the bit above Wengen. When they completed the double track above Wengen in 2013 the whole timetable changed. Prior to the new track going in trains crossed at Wengen station. This meant the station was quiet for 25 minutes then a busy period where both up and down trains crossed using platforms 2 and 3 and sometimes 4. Now the trains cross above Wengen and the up and down trains alternate through Wengen every 15 minutes or so. A consequence of this is all the trains use platform 2 in the main apart from the late night shuttle to Lauterbrunnen which uses the dead end platform 1. Here are a couple of pictures of the double track above Wengen.
