Hi Ken, you get two reels of fine wire with the kit. The fun part comes this afternoon threading the wire through the pre cut holes. It will be like threading a needle a few hundred times.
Hi Mark, it was dead easy to fit, just drill a 4mm diameter sized hole in the baseboard to a pre-determined depth and drop them in. I have not bothered to glue them in, as they were a nice tight fit. They are spaced 42mm apart to make a scale 6 foot gap.
Cheers, Ade.
I hope the holes are drilled properly through. I have no experience of this fencing but you don't want to start threading and have to take up a couple of posts when you've already done some wires through it.
Good luck Ade

Great work on the videos Mr P.
I enjoyed them both and it was good to see little mistakes which happen to everyone left in the takes. Makes me feel human that it happens to us all!
Looking forward to the next installment tomorrow, now I'm off to do my own modelling.
Cheers Paul

Sunny in Bewdley Worcestershire by the racing river Severn alongside the 7 Valley Railway. Forgot to post that yesterday.
Laying down the grass video was a very good watch, looking forward to #2.

You did post it yesterday, top of page

Just finished watching your latest video Mr P and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good to see your description of how it all comes together.
Keep up the good work.
Looking forward to the next instalment

Both Bristol Temple Meads and Weston-super-Mare have bars in the station buildings.

I agree. Must be a 6 in box 31 as all the other numbers are in line with it.

I fear I may have to join Facebook. These 2 groups look good and with MIOG on it too I may have to go against all I believe in

Look at the details of there email address. It may look okay but when you look at the rest of the address it will probably be somewhere in the US.
I had an email last week from HM COURTS AND TRIBUNAL SERVICES, saying I owe them £25 for driving in a congestion area in ......the United Kingdom. After laughing for several minutes and showing my wife i looked closer at the email which indicated Chicago as the source!

What do you mean by " i almost enjoyed it", Andrew? Your not getting itchy feet are you?

Once too many people have jumped the gun and attended private viewings, then plastered the forums and YouTube with images and video, you run the risk of losing the anticipation and desire to see the layout in public.
I for one would go several times a year to see HLJ. I don't mind not taking pictures or video or signing some disclaimer as not to release them on any sort of social media etc ( I'm not on Facebook etc). I would very much appreciate a private viewing rather than trying to peer over somebody's shoulder or being pushed out the way just because someone else can't wait. Why wouldn't I? But I very much doubt I would be one of the lucky few to attend anyway.
So at the moment let me enjoy the thought!

OR, we could all be patient and wait until we can see HL in public. Simon deserves to start seeing a return on his huge investment in time and money.
I agree but.....
....we don't know when that will be, might even be years away yet.
I wouldn't mind stumping up cash plus extra for say charity to come and see this huge blast from the past. Even if it costs more than having to pay entrance fees at an exhibition. Not much chance of people getting in the way of enjoying full length trains here!
But at least there wouldn't be any travelling cost for the crew and lorries involved in moving and setting this beast up. Its up to Simon to decide if he wants a public viewing or a trickle of people to be the first ones to see it in action. Unfortunately covid has put paid to some options this year and maybe next.
Be safe people

Me too please

Great work Andrew,
The one I didn't see originally was (1) trees in the distance above the van! Obvious really, but not after looking for the others.

Found 9 shortly after you posted, just found the 10th

Wow. My boys and me used to watch that camera quite often. Usually something going on there, very busy. Its going to cause havoc! I bet the driver needed a change of pants after that, wouldn't fancy toppling off there at that height.

I would liked to have put a deposit down on some of their future projects but can't justify it at the moment. Plus there are other purchases first. I will get them just can't commit until there is a realistic time frame for release and I know I will have the expenditure.

Is there any update on this project, I wonder?
If you go on their mailing list you can express your interest even without putting a deposit down. I had an email, I think last week from them about it.

I like your idea of landscaping the fiddle yard Andy. It'll help with the visuals when you video engines coming into Seven mills. BUT you will need to do that bridge at some point! And you'll need the practice for the second bridge your looking at building

I am loving watching this come together.
All the little bits and pieces of details Swarf, gas cylinders and trollies etc really making it come together. Great atmosphere.
The turned wheels make the car look like it's been driven there not just plonked from the sky above.
Used to spend my time on the platforms there in the early 90's.
Keep up the great work, Paul
